Wow. At first I was a bit turned off by the price, but that thing is solid! The arms don't wiggle or bend under the weight. The rotation is smooth and intuitive. And the clamping to the table is also much better than my other holder (I have two laptops...) on the other side of the table. And the circular light is high up in the sky and also easy to move. Some made-in-China products are really well made, this is one of them. My only point of critique: packaging. Everything comes neatly organized in specifically fitted cardboard ...holders? And then every little part is in a plastic bag, seems unnecessary, since everything is held into place neatly already. Why the extra plastic? This is a missed opportunity to show we can reduce plastic-based packaging.

100/100My desk is stuffed full to the brim. I do so much at the desk and have so many PCs and monitors that I literally had NO room for another laptop . . . .Until now. Now, I have THIS! I mounted it on the desk and installed a laptop. I also added another "holder arm" to the main pole and have a 15" portable monitor there so I can extend the laptop desktop. This makes video editing and other "big screen" tasks much easier.Now, my work area looks like the operator chair on the Nebuchadnezzar. LOLThe mount itself is VERY SOLID. The "main pipe" attaches directly to the desk bracket with THREE machine screws. VERY SOLID. The arms just slip on but below each one is a "stop" that is held in place by a tension screw arrangement. Each arm joint can be "locked" by an allen screw. Personally, I leave them loose so I can swivel things out of the way or closer.The "ring light" is a simple LED with the same basic light options. 3 color temperature options and dimming. It's sufficient as a work light, but not real bright compared to a standard desk task light.Ultimately, is it worth the price? Yes

This mount is solid and sturdy for the clamp, base and pole. The arms, about 8 inches for the articulating pieces are of a lighter aluminum, to save on weight while still maintaining support. Although the mount can accommodate a 15” laptop comfortably, there may be a weight factor for older machines and should be able to support it if placed low on the mount. Included is all the hardware and a VESA mount for a monitor. Recommended for build and versatility.
