I had originally bought the regular corner mount and while it works great in my application it left the rear of the camera where power plus in exposed to the rain. I had purchased the "rain shield" as the location is exposed to rain and elements. When I mounted it and aligned for the location the rear was exposed to rain.I bought this mount as it places the camera so the rain shield covers all the lens and rear power connection.

This wall mount bracket works excellently with my S340. I use it on my back porch to have a better view of my entire yard. The mount easily attaches to the camera base, and the indentions in the mount help to mount it perfectly on the corner of the house. I couldn't use it in the front of my home because one side of the wall was stone and the other was wood. Ensure you have flat surfaces on each side where you intend to mount the bracket.
