I didn’t have high expectations because I’ve purchased window kits before that turned out to be very thin and would easily rip ,however this kit exceeded my expectations. The film is durable and not too thin. And I was able to cut out the size I needed for my windows. The only thing I would change is the tape it came with although the tape looked and felt durable, I found that it did not adhere to the walls for more than three days. I used different tape for my window kit and it seems to be holding very well so far. I’ve had them up for almost 2 weeks now.

After spending nearly 12 hours between prepping the windows and installing this product, it began falling off a week later. The biggest issue is adhesion between the film and the tape that was supplied. Even though they were cheaper I definitely would not use these again!

This is so frustrating to use!! The tape sticks to your fingers, you gotta fight to get it where you want it. You can't set the tape down on anything, the sides are sticky as well. I have long hair, it was stuck to the tape, it pulled the paint off my woodwork. It wouldn't stick and stay on a cold surface. I had the heat the tape to get it stay around the window. Now, step 4 says remove all the backing off the tape. If you can get the backing to peel off without cussing and in 1 piece, only do it one at a time. I started at the top, attached the plastic (which is as thin as food plastic wrap),then did each side. You can't let the plastic touch any of the tape unintentionally or you are screwed. By the time I got 1 window done, I was very frustrated. Not doing another one right away. Over all it's a pain to apply. I'm not sure how helpful it's going to be with the plastic being so thin. I wouldn't recommend this product. It can't be reused next winter, not a good value for 1x use.

Thicker than the usual crystal clear cellophane stuff, not anywhere near as fragile. Not super transparent, But I have no hecks to give about that. I want economy and practicality. The light comes through just fine, and I wouldn't say it's good for "privacy" like the description suggests; I feel like I can still see outside just fine. I didn't find shrinking it with a heat source necessary, but I can see that it might be difficult to accomplish, the plastic isn't really perfect for that. Just wait until you can get someone to help you keep it taut when installing to avoid the worst of the warbles. The tape that comes with it is just what I want; It's not the strongest ever. For the company, there's a fine line to skirt between making sure it Never Ever Detaches; and pulling paint off the wall, so I can understand why it's not super strong adhesive. They really can't win either way, but this way is far fewer property damage complaints. Probably a solid business decision, there. That said, temps inside near the windows at my place run around 63°F, and the tape has stayed up, almost all of it. Happy with the results! I say go for it.

It is not transparent, but it works BETTER than 3m. I put 3m up and it came down the same night . I woke up the next morning and it was pealing off. The tape is wider and the plastic is thicker in this kit and works fine. it is worth the money if you're trying to keep the heat in and the cold out
