This is a pretty decent set of carving chisels for anyone getting started and wanting to learn carving. I don't have a great way to verify the chromium-vanadium steel, but like most any tool, they don't come as sharp as you want them. So plan on putting in a little bit of time to get them really dialed in. I like the handles as they compare well to others I have used. My biggest drawback is the "leather" organizer they come in. Not a huge fan as to how rigid the organizer is and don't think it will hold up to use over time. Overall a good set to start with that can get you carving on the cheap. Time will tell how well they hold up over time, but so far so good.

Purchased as a gift and he loves it! The leather case is very nice and holds everything perfectly. The tools are sharp and come with everything needed. Great quality for the price!

I received my new chisel set today, and I am extremely disappointed. It is advertised as being a leather case, but it is just cheap vinyl. The chisels are very dull out of the box with a couple of them having large burrs on the edge. Cheaply made. The only thing I like about the entire set is the mallet that came with it. I am considering sending them back and trying a more expensive set. Don’t waste your money.

I gave this to my husband the morning of our wedding and he carved our initials into the tree on our property we got married under. The love you can make with your own two hands is incredible, and endless!!
