This is really a very nicely constructed all-metal little tool for a very specific job. And it does that job perfectly well.I didn't notice at first, but there are two ruled sets of inscriptions due to the stop's thickness, one for measuring up to the bottom of the stop such as with a saw blade, and the other for measuring to the top such as with setting a router plunge.While using the ruled lines to set this device is easy, my more common usage for this will be to transfer specific desired heights/depths from a workpiece to the saw. The way this tool locks into place makes this easy to accomplish.This is a durable piece that will be serviceable far longer than me on this Earth. Well worth the asking price.

Nicely machined, great tolerances so to give an accurate measurement. I expect these will last me a long time. Impressed with cost to quality

I know there are aluminum machined step blocks that can do the same thing, but this is one small tool... not an entire box of machined steps of preset sizes. This little height gauge allows me to increment a tool height as little as 1/64". Normal Step block sets can't do that! ...and it's a cute conversation piece, too :)

Upon order, indication was that it could take a couple weeks to arrive. I was pleasantly surprised when it only took about a week. Even more surprised when I looked it over, seems to be well made. I can't use it, as it's a gift, but visual inspection didn't reveal any flaws.
