Super strong. Holds up to my hoodies

Honestly much smaller and weaker than I expected. The thread was stripped on one of the hooks (you have to screw the hook into the base) so 5 for the price of 6. Not a great purchase unfortunately.

These work well for light objects, you couldn't hang a coat or anything like that from it, but a lanyard or keys or something like that is totally do able.

STRONG: read the max strength in different positions - solved my problem!

They are surprisingly very strong. I like them, although I would prefer the hooks to be a little bigger

I must not have read the description very well because I was sure expecting something bigger than these. But there it was - about 1/2" diameter and about 1-1/2" tall. Surely these little things couldn't hold 27lbs! So I decided to run my own tests. I discovered that it made a difference what surface I tested them on. So I tested them on a file cabinet, which is relatively thin steel, and a table saw top, which is very thick cast iron. I did three tests on each surface. One was pulling sideways, another was pulling sideways but blocked so that it would not slide, and another was a straight up pull at 90° to the surface. On the file cabinet, the magnetic hook began to slide at a mere 1 to 1-1/2lb pull. If I blocked it from sliding, it let go at about a 3 to 4lb pull. And lifting straight up at 90° it let go at 12 to 13lb pull.Moving on to the table saw, the hook began to slide at a 5 to 6lb pull and it let go at about that same weight if I blocked it from sliding. The straight up pull at 90° was 22 to 23lb! Amazing! Conclusion: Your results will vary widely depending on what surface you are using. It could be the result of the metal's composition (steel or cast iron), or it's mass, or whether it's coated with paint - or all of these. The seller includes a small card pointing this out. As for my results, I never got anywhere near the 10lb mark when pulling sideways, on either surface. But then you may never need that kind of sideways strength. I think a little larger diameter base would go a long way to adding a little more friction and thereby increase its resistance to sliding. I think these are great for hanging pictures, calendars, etc. But you may not get the holding strength for something much heavier than that. After a recent 60% discount, these are a pretty good value, too. I'm happy with them!

I tried them on my fridge, and they don’t hold much. They can still work as fridge magnets or for lighter items.
