Looks great and has a great feel when playing games but after a short period of time, as with many Xbox controllers, the right thumbstick started to drift on me. Don't know what I mean? Play a game like COD and give the thumbstick a little twitch. If you camera keeps panning one way or the other you have this problem too, which is big depending on the game you're playing. The controller is still functional but does feel cheap now that it no longer functions right. Chrome was a mistake of mine as well (fingerprints and sweat).

As a gamer my entire life, I'm a bit of a controller snob. I'm a mouse and keypad addict, but stubbornly accepted the fact that 3rd person melee type games demand a controller. The Playstation controllers were game-changers (no pun intended), and I originally intended to get a DS3 controller for my pc. I'm glad that I didn't.This controller is gorgeous and comfortable! With the 360 for pc adapter (sold separately), it installs and connects effortlessly. As a Monster Hunter franchise Veteran, going from MH3U to the Dark Souls series, it is imperative to have an interface that is intuitive and reflexive. This controller provides that very well. The only things that I would change about it are its overall size and the height of the LB/RB buttons (above the triggers). The LB/RB are easy to miss bc of their height. I've gotten spoiled on the Wii Mote/Chuck spread and the width of the WiiU gamepad. As a guy with very broad shoulders and a respectable foodbaby, I find that I like controllers that are wider. Other than those 2, Outstanding game interface!

Within 24 hours the left thumbstick was scraping and making a squeal like that of a mouse in pain. It was connecting to my wireless headset for a couple of weeks just fine, but when I was recharging my mic and plugged in the wired headset, something happened. It was intermittent at first, then I couldn't hear nothing and nobody could hear me. So I tried to turn on my wireless headset again to see if that would correct the problem. It would not connect to that controller anymore. I tried to resync all to my Xbox 360, and start over. Still... nothing. I'm guessing something internally went wrong. This next part of the review goes straight to Amazon's handling of my problem.I call up and ask for an exchange. The lady issues the exchange and I'll have it in one business day. It was Saturday, so I expected it on Tuesday. On Wednesday still no shipment. I look at the account and says that it hasn't shipped, even though it says they're in stock. So I call up again, and this was the beginning of the end for me with Amazon. We spend half an hour hashing out the explanations. Apparently they can't reorder it because when I initially purchased the item, it was "from Amazon" and now all the other ones are from independent sellers. Now... I'm sorry, but instead of just doing the exchange correctly and making your customers happy, you risk upsetting a loyal customer because of semantics? You're getting your money either way. So instead I have to refund the item. So she says to order it again, and I go to, but my points aren't there. The lady was like "Can't you just put it on your credit card?" I ordered it with the points. I'm not going to put another $40 on my credit card when I should have the points there. She had no clue what to do, so she was going to talk to her supervisor. She put me on indefinite hold for about 7 minutes and probably expected me to hang up. When I didn't, she disconnected the call. I called back and immediately asked for a supervisor since I wasn't going to deal with some weird computerized voice. I don't even know what THAT was. So I get a supervisor. And basically my only option now is to wait until the points are credited back to my card. And since there was a $5 price difference he would notate that they were to refund me $5 on my next order. Now it's a few days later and my points are back on my card. So I call up again and tell them to look at their notes that I was promised a $5 refund on the item. I get the same initial girl I spoke with who has a really hard time understanding English. At this point I am utterly frustrated. She says they can't do the $5 change in price due to the fact that it's a private seller. At this point I am just utterly done with their horrific customer service. Hung up on, lied to now, and still having issues understanding ANYBODY that works here. So I demand a supervisor. It took me saying "I want to speak to a manager" about 10 times before she would transfer me. And even then... no help. They would only give me $5 off my next order. So just a warning... just take your phone to Best Buy, pull up the item you want on your internet and get them to price match it and buy it locally. Because dealing with Amazon's customer support, which used to be AMAZING has now gone the way of Wal-Mart!

This controller is your typical Microsoft certified gaming pad with a couple tweaks. First, and most obvious, is the chrome finish. While this does nothing for the controller functionality, the aesthetic look is quite nice to look at. Second, the thumb sticks don't have the 4 little nubs that you feel when you get a new controller and instead opted for a depressed circle. It's different and may take a bit to get used to but it's most definitely more comfortable than the little nubs from the old style 360 controllers. Third, and final, is the transforming D-Pad that Microsoft introduced a year or two ago with newer controllers. Even though the d pad transforms, it's still the same terrible d pad it's always been. However, it functions as it should so I guess that's still a plus. All in all, for the amount of money you'll pay for it brand new, it's worth the investment if you're in the market for a new controller.

The picture makes it a bit difficult to tell what you're getting, so I'll wrap it up: The controller has a plastic, mirror-like front finish, it looks sharp but it isn't trying to be flashy. The back of the controller is the same matte-black you find on any other controller, WHICH IS A GOOD THING. It means your rechargeable battery (not included) won't stick out and make it look like garbage. You know your buddy who has a white controller with a black battery? The only two flaws I can think of is I wish the buttons were a different color. They're the usual yellow, blue, green, and red, which stands out and ruins the slick look of the controller, and it shows your hand prints like something awful.Pro:+You can always tell someone touched your controller.Con:-You can always tell YOU touched your controller. This is fixed with a paper towel or a swipe of your shirt, but really, are you going to do that every time you pick it up? Still, it comes with the territory, Microsoft really couldn't have prevented that. All in all, I like it. It's unique. The hand prints really detract from its appearance (and rating), but you can probably ignore it.+A unique spin on a comfortable controller with a revisioned D-pad.-Not for those suffering with OCD.

Really like the chrome look and the feel of the analogs. But the controller took about 3 weeks to get to me, when estimated it would take 2 tops and the rumble on the left side of the controller doesn't even work.. So it feels a bit weird.
