My daughter is currently on the sourdough starter bandwagon and asked for this kit. It was a little more expensive than similar kits out there but well worth it. Everything is high quality and I didn't need to purchase anything additional.

If you are like many, you were scrolling through social media and saw all of the Sourdough making videos and thought, I want to do that! This kit has all of the equipment that you need to get started. Keep in mind, the only additional item that you would need is the dutch oven or bread pan to cook the sourdough bread in once you have gone through all of the proofing steps.All of the items in this kit are great quality and have been amazing in holding up using them over and over again! Very durable and well made. It comes in the box in the description - so it would be a cute gift idea as well for anyone. Easily wrapped and given to anyone wanting to jump into bread making!I like that this kit does come with both shaped rattan baskets. Having 2 is nice because the recipes that I find usually make 2 loaves. But also having the 2 different shapes gives more versatility in trying different types of loaves as well. This kit is also very reasonably priced given everything that you get in the kit. If you had to purchase all of the items separately, you would easily spend a lot more! So I definitely recommend this kit!

I've always wanted to make sourdough bread. I've watched videos, read recipes, tips and tricks, all sorts of things to feel confident enough to get started. However, it still seemed very intimidating.I selected this sourdough kit simply for the purpose of reviewing it for Amazon Vine. I had low expectations because 'all-inclusive kit' usually means you get an useful item or two bundled with a lot of junk to make it seem you're getting a deal. That was not the case with this sourdough breadmaking kit. It's so impressive and complete that I felt fully supported to be able to make my first sourdough starter and bread.EVERYTHING a baker needs to make sourdough bread from scratch except the recipe, flour, water, salt, and Dutch oven. It even has a canvas bag to store everything once you're finished.The kit includes:* Two sturdy, well-made, proofing baskets; one round, one oval* Removable muslin liners for proofing baskets, which are washable.* Flour beater, in case you don't have a sifter or whisk to aerate and combine dry ingredients* Rolling pin* Round silicone proofing mat with handles to easily move the dough as needed (heat safe to 230 C / 446 F)* Silicone pastry brush* Huge Silicone pastry mat (shy 60 cm x 16 cm / 24 in x 16 in), complete with measurements in cm and inches, a measurement conversion chart, and diameter measurements for rolling round items.* Bench scraper with cm measurement marking* Razor blade holder* Package of 5 razor blades for scoring* Long silicone scraper* Sourdough starter jar with ml measurement markings* Elasticized, breathable muslin jar cover* Elastic band with day and time markings to keep track of sourdough starter feeding times* Adhesive thermometer with C and F markings* Canvas bagAgain, this is an incredibly impressive kit. I'm generally a grinch about bundled items, often finding them to be a waste of money, preferring to buy the individual items I need. But I truly can't find anything to critique about this kit. Every item is useful. It includes all the items needed for each step to make sourdough bread, from starter to oven. This kit has removed the intimidation I felt about getting started with sourdough bread! I even bought an enameled Dutch oven. For anyone feeling nervous about getting started with sourdough bread, I strongly recommend this sourdough kit!

Perfect for the beginner like myself. I've used this set for my starter and now that my starter is well established, I've used every tool to bake my first few loaves. It has everything you need to get started baking sourdough and I'm so glad I got this. Comes with many extra lame blades which was surprising. The only thing I wished it came with was a cloth cover to use for BF your dough. Other than that it is a great value and assembled well. These make great gifts to give to new sourdough bakers or someone interested in sourdough and doesn't know where to start.

I never imagined I could bake bread, especially sourdough, but this starter kit has everything I need to get started! It includes all the supplies and instructions to make my own sourdough, making it a perfect all-in-one solution. Everyone I know loves sourdough, so I'm excited to master the recipes and techniques. This would make a fantastic gift for any baker or someone who dreams of becoming one. It's a well-rounded, high-quality set although I wouldn't say it's worth $70 so with that said, I'm only giving it 4 stars

This was a great kit to start my sourdough starter. I love the elastic they put to put on the mason jar. It helps me to keep up with what time I fed it. This kit is great!

Was getting into sourdough and liked that this was such a comprehensive set. I will say with the amount of baking i do the starter jar is a bit small, however it's super useful! HIGHLIGHTS:-Comes with everything except the starter-Recipe book is great-Starter jar has a feeding timer on it which is helpful for the more chaotic days-bread baskets are a great size for a loaf and well madeOverall really happy with this set and think it's more than everything i needed.
