This is a fantastic set, especially if you're just starting out with sourdough baking! It comes with everything you need to get started, including a 34oz sourdough starter jar, which is perfect for storing and growing your starter. The two silicone banneton bread proofing baskets are a nice touch, making the process of proofing your dough much easier and mess-free.

After 2 weeks of using the starter jar I noticed that it was starting to rust. I didn't soak it in water or use any abrasive cleaning supplies. It's pretty much useless and I needed to restart my starter for fear of contamination. Started using all the other items in the kit so unable to return the kit.

I LOVE this sourdough set! I use it to make fresh sourdough bread every week and have sent the link on Amazon to multiple friends. I have been using this kit for a few months now and everything is great quality! I search Amazon for a hot minute trying to decide which set to get to begin my sourdough making journey and am really happy with this set; highly recommend!

This sourdough bread kit is great! There are so many essentials included in this pack to get started on your sourdough journey! The glass jar with feeding ring is amazing so that you can keep track of the last time you feed your starter. I like that there is a cloth cover for storing the jar on the counter and a metal lid for storing the jar airtight in the refrigerator. The bread lame works good for scoring the top of the bread and I love the feel of the wooden handle. The stainless steel dough cutter/bench scraper is sturdy and works really well. I loved using the little flour duster for an even sprinkling of flour. The collapsible silicone proofing baskets are awesome. Great for storage and you can even bake your bread directly in the silicone baskets! There are a lot of little extras that come with this kit. A few things would make this kit even better. It should also include a silicone oval shaped bread sling to go with the oval shaped basket. A flexible dough scraper for removing dough from your bulk fermentation bowl would be nice. Lastly, the handle on the danish dough whisk is too short for mixing a batch of sourdough. My fingers kept getting in the dough while mixing. The handle on the danish dough whisk needs to be longer! I ended up purchasing a danish dough whisk that is 13 inches long. Overall, this is a great starter kit for sourdough bread making!
