My barn door isn’t installed as of the writing of this review so I can’t not speak to the functionality of the hooks. That said, a hook is a hook. It’s an easy piece of hardware & you can’t go wrong with it.That said, this is a very solid hook; it feels heavy & you can feel the quality. And it comes with two, which it will be nice for me to have an extra, just in case.I will be interested to see how the paint holds up on it, once my barn door is installed & in use.My preliminary assessment is this is a great hook/latch for a good price.

I finally got around to installing this on a set of double doors that don't fit well and are always getting blown open by the wind. They are on a little storage addition on the back of our building so I don't walk by the doors often, but every time I do they are open. I got this to keep it shut and it seems to work well. The hook and anchors are quite heavy duty and are worth the money if you have an application like this. They don't give that cheap or utilitarian feel but instead make it seem like an upscale fix.

This door latch is built with good quality metal but on the heavy side. It is simple to install.

This didn’t quite work for the project it was intended for ( my fault ) but I did find another use for it, this is definitely a large sturdy latch. It was amazingly easy to install and is just the right size for that door, it looks pretty sharp there too, well as sharp as a latch lock can look. I would definitely recommend this for larger doors or gates.

Doesn't exactly match the motif of my barn door (although it was once white), this latch is too white for my application. Screws are pretty small and very close together which doesnt add much strength in my opinion (my barn door weighs almost 100#).

I got the to put on my dog house, they are great and exactly what I was looking for to keep the door closed when they are not using it
