Works fine. We have a community well that serves 30 homes. Iron and manganese create the color/stain problem. The filter is not a complete solution to the problem but it sure helps. I change it every 3 months or so. Water runs clear and tastes good.

I've been buying these filters for my whole-house filtration system. I've tried multiple filter replacements from several different brands. This one is my favorite. It has good water flow, filters out all kinds of junk and makes the water taste/look better as well. It really is amazing how much junk it catches and how dark the filter turns after about 3 months of use. When the water starts flowing a little slow and/or starts tasting strange, I change the filter out and all is well again.
