About this item

  • Better Inflatable Dog Cone: Traditional dog cones can be a nuisance, causing pets to bump into furniture, feel uncomfortable, and experience stress due to obstructed vision. In many cases, a BARKLESS innovative inflatable dog cone with an anti-licking shield is an excellent solution, effectively limiting the reach of healing wounds on the body
  • Consider Your Dog's Breed: When selecting a size, measure your dog's neck circumference and consider the width of the cone and the height of the shield to ensure full coverage of the wound. The cone should extend past your dog’s mouth to prevent them from biting the guard or reaching the wound. This inflatable dog collar may not be suitable for dogs with very long noses, legs, or tails, or more flexible breeds
  • Ensure Proper Inflation: The inflation valve has a small cutout—pinch the base of the valve to open it and allow air to enter. While pinching, use a sele-purchased pump or your mouth to inflate the donut cone for dogs. You can adjust the firmness by varying the inflation to avoid excess pressure on the seams, which could cause leakage. Once inflated, quickly cover the valve with the cap to seal it. Trim your dog's nails to prevent scratching that could puncture the dog cone alternative
  • Maintain the Shield and Keep it Upright: The baffle is made of plastic and can be damaged if your dog chews or bites it. To prevent this, train your dog not to bite the baffle by using treats or toys to redirect their attention. If the shield becomes deformed, your dog may be able to reach the wound through the indentations. To fix this, unfold the shield and place a heavy object on it for a few hours to restore its shape and ensure proper function
  • Help Your Dog Get Used to the Collar: To help your dog adjust to the inflatable dog cone and minimize the chances of them removing it, introduce the collar gradually and associate it with good experiences. Start by supervising for short periods, using the collar during daily activities, and rewarding calm behavior. This approach will help your dog become more comfortable with the dog donut collar and reduce anxiety, making it less likely that they’ll remove it during recovery

How to inflate the BARKLESS inflatable dog cone

Merchant Video
  • Simply pinch the opening a few times to open the valve for inflation. The collar should be firm enough to keep its shape and protect the dog from reaching the wound but not so firm that it causes discomfort.

  • Train your dog to tolerate the cone by rewarding them with treats and praise. If you catch them chewing on it, redirect them to a chew toy. If they persist in chewing the cone, consider using a BARKLESS muzzle to enhance bite prevention.

  • It is necessary to adjust and keep the shield in shape and rounded to avoid collapsing and affecting the wearing. Avoid allowing the dog to rest against hard surfaces that could deform the shield.

  • The shield is sealed with a protective plastic film to prevent scratches during shipment or use. You can remove the film to make the shield more clear, but it won’t affect normal use if left on.

  • 1.Proper Sizing

    2.Regular Checks & Monitor Behavior

3.Secure Attachment: Attach your dog’s regular collar to collar loops

4.Keep your dog occupied with toys or treats to distract them from trying to remove the cone

The inflatable part deflates too quickly. This style of cone also prevents my dog from being able to drink with it on.

Great for visibility compared to other designs, comfortable inflatable neck cushion, perfect fit and good anti rip material.

I really like this soft cone, it's a good alternative to the standard hard cones that a lot of places still use. Our dog has some surgery coming up on his eye and thought I'd pick this up before that day comes and I'm really happy with how this product works and supports plus size dogs. I recommend it, I'm not sure how long it'll last when he starts to scratch at it but like most inflatables like this it'll be easy to repair and if you keep their nails short it should help extend this products life. I'll update if anything happens to it.

This helped imensly with my lab pup. He had a hotspot on his face but had issues eating with a regular cone. This worked perfectly, allowing him to eat and drink on his own but not being able to scratch at it. It was easy to inflate and put on him. There was no weird smell and it was very easy to wipe clean.

If you have ever needed to use the basic cones the vet provides, you will love the simplicity of this unit. It is a lot easier to put on your dog, and not to mention way more comfortable. My dog still hates it to be on - but I have a feeling she likes it better than the cheap ones from the vet. I know I do!It is inflatable, and flexible - so it is prefect for storing and not having to clip it back on a collar each time you need it. My dogs get into porcipines all the time - this has been a main stay in our home for emergency use. I highly recommend!

This inflatable dog cone is fantastic! The material is also so soft that I seriously considered taking this in the plane as a travel pillow! The plastic cone part is connected via a high quality zipper and is very easy to attach or remove. Once fitted, the cone is massive yet light with good visibility for your dog. One of the main drawbacks of traditional cones is the visibility and this easily wins. The inflatable cushion is soft and can be custom fit with more or less air. So far, it appears to be durable and well made. I love that it has dual function as a pillow and cone. Buy this… seriously. It is so much better than the traditional cones.

This is really a nice design, and the inflatable feature really helps make this fit just right. In addition, compared to the old cones, the shorter transparent side extension is much better than the original, and gives the dog less of a claustrophobic feeling. My concern is the durability of the "donut". Even though it is made with a strong vinyl, I am concerned about how long it will hold up when the dog tries to scratch. The manufacturer is worried about it as well, as they recommend that you trim your dogs nails prior to using!!! They've clearly never met my English Mastiff! For the price, this is a nicely executed design, and functions well. If it wasn't for the vinyl concern, this would be a 5 star. If you get one, you might want to have an extra as well, just in case.

This is so great! My Catahoula/Dane has stitches right now and because his face is so long he can reach the stitches with the other inflatable cone I have for him, I have a hard plastic cone but that's hard for everyone, including my youngest son who is right at cone level- plus my dog hates it and won't even drink water with it on. This is the answer to the problem - goes on easy, is light and comfortable, so easy to put together and has not leaked, it fits him without choking him AND he can't reach his stitches. He's been so much happier with this one. It is tough too, my dog has worn it for days- running into everything and it barely has a dent on the 'rim' and when he runs into me I don't want to scream. This is by far the most useful cone we have used yet, I love that the plastic comes off if we need it to and no matter how hard he runs it into things it hasn't leaked. I was very skeptical but I was proven incorrect as this is a great cone option for larger dogs.
