Feels great in hand. it gets down into hollows fast and efficiently. Very happy so far. I am seeing more pro turners using carbide tips for bowls now.

Cuts like a dream. Fantastic for straight wall hollow finishing and pull cuts. @Old_Goats

I enjoy the longer reach with this. Turn the new handle for it. Got a little put together and abused it love the flat side very stable no chatter.

Great value for a well machined tool. Inexpensive enough to make a handle instead of swapping out metal handles. I now have a square chisel, 2" radius and a 6" radius.

The tungsten carbide bits stay sharp for a long time. They cut into any hardwood with ease. It replaced my rough gouge and scraper and does a better/faster job. The replacement bits are easily available and cost about $2.3 each which should easily last couple of days for normal users.

This carbide tool has all of the appearances of the more expensive name brand tool except it comes unhandled. Handles are easy to make. I am an experience woodturner comfortable with conventional HSS tools but thought I would check out carbide. I still prefer conventional tools but this is a great value if you want to go the carbide route.

I'm fairly new to turning and this is my first carbide tipped tool and has since become my go-to tool to roughing out pieces. I even used this tool handle-less in making a handle.

everything I recieved was in pristine condition. I turned a handle for the insert and had no problems. I wish they would have given the specs on the screw size and carbide tip. It would have made ordering replacements a lot easier.

My favorite beginner carbide tool. Square shaft for stability while turning (won’t twist), and cheap. And also, making your own handles is easy and fun, so there’s no need to buy a tool with a handle unless it’s your first!
