1.Style:Interior Left Hand Door


  • IMPORTANT - BE SURE TO SELECT THE CORRECT MODEL TO FIT YOUR DOOR. HERE IS HOW TO DETERMINE IF YOU HAVE A LEFT OR RIGHT HAND DOOR. With the door closed, stand facing the door on the side where the hinges are exposed. If the door knob is on the left side of the door then you have a left hand door. If the door knob is on the right side then you have a right hand door (see images).
  • FITS MOST SINGLE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR DOORS. MEASURE TO MAKE SURE THAT IT FITS YOURS. Standard interior doors are typically 1-3/8 inches thick. Make sure that your interior door is no less than 1-3/8 inches thick and no more than 1-7/8 inches thick. Standard exterior doors are typically 1-3/4 inches thick. Make sure that your exterior door is no less than 1-5/8 inches thick and no more than 1-13/16 inches thick. NOTE: This product will not work on double doors, bi-fold or sliding glass doors.
  • AUTOMATICALLY LOCKS WHEN YOU CLOSE THE DOOR: Unlike other devices, you won't have to worry if you forgot to secure your child lock. The LatchSmart does it for you when the door closes. This feature ensures safety for your baby and piece of mind for you.

I was looking for a latch that my escape artist couldn't decipher. The unit is easy to install, works as described, and is high enough that I can easily open without fear that "little Houdini" isn't going to find their way out.Be mindful of which way your door is swinging open. Make sure to purchase the correct setup.

Easy to install. This is ideal because the lock is placed up high, we'll out of reach of little ones. Just be sure to get the lock for the correct door opening.

This door latch is polarizing to me. It's a good concept. The plastic is a little cheap in construction. This latch did work as intended. However, it requires both hands to operate. It took one hand to push up the latch, and the other hand to turn the door knob. I rarely walk through the intended door, with nothing in my hands. If I had three hands, I'd give this 5 stars.

I really wanted this child lock to work, but unfortunately, it didn’t fit any of the doors in my home - even though I ordered the version meant for left-hand doors. The installation also seemed a bit tricky and not as straightforward as I expected.It might work better for specific door types, but make sure to double-check compatibility with your setup before purchasing. Disappointed it didn’t work out for me, but the concept is solid.

I didn’t actually get this for a child — I got it because my dog figured out how to open the door with a lever handle. This latch works perfectly. It was super easy to install (just strong adhesive tape) and it’s really simple to use. It keeps the door secure, and now my dog’s sneaky escape tricks are a thing of the past. Highly recommend if you’ve got clever pets or curious toddlers.
