This brass clip has lasted me over two years working as a zookeeper — definitely a job where I CANNOT lose my keys! Only replacing because the spring is finally starting to give out. Full disclosure: I sometimes use the spring component as a fidget. This thing probably would have lasted longer if I didn’t play with it during meetings.

Have bought a few of these for horse lead ropes and found them to be the perfect size for the thinner ropes I braid. I also used for a heavy duty dog lead, but I would think they are a little heavy for a normal sort of leash. After a few months of daily use the finish has gotten less shiny in places, but no rust or tarnish. My only complaint is the ring that it came with is not brass, the shiny part immediately came off and it is corroding.

I volunteer on a railroad and needed a heavy-duty belt clip to hold my switch keys. I wanted a brass one to match the look of my keys and decided to take a chance on this one and I've been satisfied with my purchase so far. It has survived several full days on the railroad and hasn't let me down yet, and I've had a few comments from the other guys asking where I got it.

What I need is an item like this to fasten my car key to a Keysmart that holds my keys. This item is just too large for the hole on my Keysmart and my car key.

I bas d my decision ordering this in misleading info from amazon customer service that this bolt snap was smaller and lighter in weight than the small nickel plated bolt snap by the same company, lyckybline. That was false. This is bigger, heavier, and cumbersome to wear dangling in my shorts. Upon feeling it up close I've determined I like the small version better as it is light and feels better dangling from my belt loop than this heavy clunker. Im just not into anything heavy dangling from my belt loops as it is just added weight to what I'm already carrying in my pants(iphone, wallet, and keys). I just prefer the feeling of unhindered weightlessness in my pants.
