Your cart is empty.Prep your tumbler first by removing the factory coating by either sanding or stripping. Plastic, ceramic, and glass must always be sanded. Apply at room temperature (68 to 78 degrees) and allow 2 hours of drying time between coats. Finish will self-level as it dries. Don't overwork your brush. Wet it and forget it. DO NOT USE HEAT GUNS to force drying. Grande Finale will harden up over a period of 5 to 30 days. You can gently use after 5 to 7 days.

Best way to coat tumblers if you don’t want to use epoxy or if you have an allergy to epoxy.

This is a new product for me. This works well for cup making but not to be used as a top coat. This is a great sealer.

I like that I can use it in my house but you need to add too many coats. So it makes it kinda pricey. I would purchase again though.

I watched a handful of videos about this stuff before ordering, so I kind of knew what I was getting into. If you're using this on your tumblers instead of epoxy, there is definitely a learning curve.A lot of the videos told me not to use it with resin, but I didn't listen, and tested a tumbler that turned out fine, so then I used this stuff on an entire order. It was a rush order skinny tumblers. The customer just wanted plain black cups with white vinyl names on them as bridesmaids gifts. I told her I would want to seal them and she said she wanted the cups to stay matte, and knew that the finish would be glossy if I did that. That led me to the internet and this product.I would totally think about just using this from beginning to end once I run out of resin, but for right now, and for this project, I used 15 ml of resin to seal the black tumblers/vinyl and then the cups sat for about a week and then I used about 4 layers of this stuff to return the matte look to the cup.I'm not great at putting it on thin and even, and even with just a few layers I had to sand and redo some of them, but it truly wasn't a terrible process. I love that I could just work on the cups for a few minutes ans walk away for a couple hours and come back, and I also loved that I didn't have to worry about getting bubbles out (although, I found new things to worry about instead, hahah).I've done 2 practice tumblers (with tons of layers and weird stuff done to them just messing around with the product) and 7 tumblers in the order, and I've used a little over half the bottle. So far it's been a fun experience. I'm actually looking more forward to using this on other projects outside of tumblers.
