Its linseed oil and if you need linseed oil it does what its supposed to do. Get it. I used on my axe head to swell the wedge to fit tight it works. great for pudding windows. You paint the old window frame with it first before applying the puddy. many uses it can bring the shine back to antique guitar finishes too. Probably old furnature too. Good for sealing up old ugly patina on crappy cars and trucks. Millions of uses. I dont know half the uses of this stuff.

Comes in a plastic bottle with the label not glued on. The push lid is a little tricky to open but otherwise good. Has a plasticky chemical smell for a few days why its drying. Once dry, no odor. I applied mine with a cloth dipped in the oil. Ran out way too quickly, I underestimated the amount of linseed oil I actually need

Plan to use this on my wooden cart and pine deck to protect it from winter weather. Worked well in the past.

I don't know what other people were talking about with the container being hard to open. Maybe mine is different, but either way, I used this to treat the handle on both of my blacksmithing hammers, and it's worked incredibly well. Goes on thick but absorbs very quickly. Leaves no odor behind really, and isn't greasy or tacky feeling. Just makes the handle feel smooth and sturdy. It's hard to explain, just get it and use it.

I've always avoided Linseed oil, but I thought I would give this one a shot. A few reviewers mentioned they even applied to their cutting boards. Well, I'm not sure what they were thinking, because Sunnyside says on their website specifically to not apply either this or the raw to any food preparation surfaces. That being said, I think common sense should have come to play also. First this bottle was extremely hard to open, I'm guessing because it is that hazardous to children. After opening, the chemical odor became really strong. I'm really not sure why anybody in their right mind would apply this to their cutting board when food grade oil would do the same job. Sunnyside describes on their data sheet that metal additives are added and the odor is light. But for me this one was almost akin to opening up a can of petrol. All that being said, it does the job. The oil soaked considerably better than other natural nut based oils.My two cents, use this outside or with fresh ventilation. Pour a little bit into a small cap and keep the pint closed. Use a paper towel to apply (since real rags are a fire hazard because of the unstated additives) and also sand it in a little bit, and then apply again and let air dry. Compared to other nut based oils, this does have a very strong yellow tint when applied to light brown woods. If your going to use it on wood, don't use it on anything light brown unless you don't mind it turning out yellowish. It is more suited for pine, mahogany, or the heartwood of rosewood where the natural color of the wood is darker than the oil.
