This class 1 trailer hitch and ball mount combination is designed for a custom fit on select years of the Honda Accord (see application info to verify fitment). The hitch integrates with the vehicle's frame and provides a useful and dependable 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver. The receiver is perfect for attaching the included ball mount and towing a small trailer, or for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, bike rack or other accessory. This particular class 1 hitch is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). The ball mount included with this trailer hitch quickly and easily installs into the hitch receiver and has a 3/4" trailer ball hole (trailer ball not included). It can be mounted in the rise or drop position to promote level towing. Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 1 hitch is protected with our co-cured finishing process. It is descaled for a smooth surface, immersed in liquid A-coat for rust resistance inside and out, covered with a durable black powder coat and finally co-cured for an industry-leading rust, chip and UV-resistant shield. No matter where you're headed or which season of the year you’re towing in, this CURT hitch is equipped for long-lasting resilience to the elements. It features an open-back receiver for easy cleaning, and it comes with all the hardware necessary for the installation.

I watched a few YouTube videos on installing this hitch prior to ordering it. They were very helpful and I had this hitch installed within an hours time by myself. I'd say that reattaching the exhaust pipe on the hangers was the hardest part that took a few tries before I got the two rubber mounting pieces to cooperate with the exhaust pipes hangers. You will need something slippery to spray on the rubber hangers. The video called for W-D 40. But, I just grabbed a bottle of Armor All.My 2013 Honda Accord Sedan is a 4 cyl., so, I only had to manage one exhaust pipe.The distance between the lower portion of the bumper/skirt and the top of the receiver tube is 1-1/8".The distance between the ground and the bottom of the receiver tube is 9-1/4".This hitch if securely fastened to the frame and the tow hook. ( I like this set up better than the CURT hitch I had on my previous Honda Accord which was a 2004 EX. That hitch required drilling two holes in the bottom of the trunk pan and attaching to the tow hook.I never had a bit of problem with the CURT HITCH on my '04 handling my Yakima Bike Rack which held 4 bicycles. SO,,,,,, I know this one will be ever better as it connects directly to the frame.

Nice item. Some of the finish was dinged/scratched because of poor packing or neglect.It fit my 2013 Accord DX well, with some cutting of the muffler heat shield.

This took me a couple of hours to install, but the fit is perfect and I am very satisfied with my purchase. The instructions are very thorough and well written with photos, but this was one of trickiest I have ever installed. The rear exhaust hanger is a little tricky to get off and you also have to run a wire through part of uni-body on both sides to feed the hardware through it for fastening the hitch, you also have to cut away part of the heat shield for the muffler in order to fit the hitch. Despite the complexity of the install, I am very satisfied with the solution curt manufacturing has provided for a honda accord. I am unaware of any available from honda.
