Did not turn anything on when brake lights should have been on. Vehicle was sending the signal, box wasn’t responding. Be wary of the lights box. Best to order another brand of light box if you have to get this bundle to get the hitch from Amazon.

I used this to tow a 1,500 lb. Trailer moving across the country. (I only drove on the highways). Driving through switchbacks and going through the east coast, I encountered a ton of roads that are like hills, and the hitch kept my trailer on with zero issues. The box for lights to hook up was easy to connect and worked the entire trip.

Took a little longer to install than expected. Show more clearly the exhaust system removal. Use of a floor jack key if you are doing it by yourself.

Great product. Fits 2014 Forrester. Good value. Do yourself a favor and toss out the instructions and find the Curt install video on youtube. That video is great. For my forrester, I needed a 10mm socket, a 14mm socket and 14mm wrench, and a flat head screwdriver, and WD40. Install aside - great fit and product. I would have expected to pay more. If you are not handy at all, you should probably get someone to help you install.

The product itself is great and does what it’s supposed to. Only gave it 4 stars because the ball receiver that it came with fits loosely in the hitch. So every bump you hear a loud thump.

Wildly fast shipping! Amazing top quality product! Great bundle and wiring harness is the best out there. Connects Straight to Subaru tow cable receiver behind rear driver side panel. Make sure you install the muffler correctly or you will have an exhaust leak and loose power.
