After a lot of research, I decided to go with the Devo G1 Smart Lock, and after using it for several weeks, I’m genuinely impressed with how much functionality it packs into one sleek device. I wanted something that could improve security, let me see and speak to visitors remotely, and offer multiple ways to unlock the door, and this model delivered on all fronts.Installation was surprisingly simple. I’m not a handyman, but I had it fully installed in about 20–25 minutes using just a screwdriver. The instructions were clear, and the lock was designed to fit standard US doors. Once the hardware was in place, I connected it to my 2.4GHz WiFi through the Tuya Smart app no hub or bridge was needed and it paired with my phone on the first try.The built-in FHD camera provides a clear, wide-angle view, even at night. I like that it starts recording or sends alerts when someone rings the doorbell or lingers near the door. The two-way audio works well clear sound on both ends with minimal lag. I’ve already used it to talk to delivery drivers and guests when I wasn’t home, and it adds a lot of peace of mind. The fingerprint scanner is fast and very reliable. It recognizes prints in less than a second, and I’ve added fingerprints for the whole family with no issues. There are several other ways to unlock the door too custom codes, IC cards, mechanical key (as a backup), the smartphone app, and even voice control with Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also generate one-time or temporary codes for guests, which has come in handy a few times already. I like the auto-lock feature too it gives me peace of mind that the door will lock automatically even if someone forgets. The 10,000 mAh rechargeable battery is another big plus. I’ve been using the lock for several weeks now and haven’t had to recharge it once. The app shows the current battery level, which is helpful. I also appreciate that it charges via USB-C, so I don’t need any special cables. The lock feels solid and well-made. It’s been through a couple of heavy rainstorms already and had no issues—it’s IP65 rated, and I can tell it’s built to handle the weather. The materials feel high quality, and they function smoothly every time I use them. The Tuya app has been easy to use and very stable. I can lock and unlock the door from anywhere, view access history, and manage who has access. It sends me instant notifications for any activity whether it’s someone ringing the bell, unlocking the door with a fingerprint, or using a code. All in all, I’m really happy with this smart lock. It combines security, convenience, and advanced features in one good-looking package. It’s reliable, easy to use, and gives me a lot more control over who’s coming and going from my home. If you’re thinking about upgrading your front door, this one is worth considering.

Pretty easy to install. Pretty easy to set up. My only complaint is that it is not loud enough in it's responses. It's also hard for the person at your door to hear you. I could hear them very well but it was a muffled sound back. Over all would definitely recommend.

I received this device from a buddy that had this laying around. I was a bit weary about using it since I'd never heard of Devo, previously. After a few weeks of usage, I have to say I'm very impressed.First Impression:This lock seems well built and has more features than I need or want. Or so I thought. All I really needed was an electronic dead bolt. I didn't even care for the fingerprint access. But this was before I got spoiled by the fingerprint access feature. I'm not going back to using a key for my most accessed entryway. This is a BHMA Grade 3 lock. Grade 3 is the lowest level, which is suitable for home security. This should be good enough. I would feel comfortable using this for my primary entryway after using this for a few weeks for my garage access. Feels like a well-built, reliable device.Usage:I'm using the G1 as the security lock on my door connecting the garage to my home. I wanted to use it on my front door, but couldn't since my front door has an eastern exposure and the camera's optics would eventually be damaged due to direct sun exposure on the optics. This is not just an issue for this device but for any device with a camera. So be careful. My garage door is the one that's used most often, so this lock has come in super handy. I didn't realize how efficient it is to simply use my fingerprint to unlock the door. Not sure I can go back to using a key.Functionality:The fingerprint reader is accurate. Never failed to open the door. Every so often, I'll attempt to use another finger just to make sure there's no false-positive (or false-negative). So far, 100% on accuracy.Camera: At first, I was only going to use this only for fingerprint access. But I was curious about the camera. So I downloaded the app, created an account and tried out the camera. As someone that always wonders if I turned off the light or closed the garage door, this helps to scratch the itch of my OCD. I'm able to peek into the garage to make sure the lights are off and the door is closed. In addition, I found that the app allows me to remotely open or close the lock. Very cool. The app also shows the battery charge remaining.NOTE OF WARNING: Today, I came back home to find that the battery almost dead. It did have enough power for me to open the door one more time. I'm not sure if that was just luck or a feature to preserve minimal battery power for entry. Either way, I'm glad the device had enough power to let me in.This is the warning... explicitly turn off your camera in the app after use!!! Don't simply dismiss the app on your phone.I used the camera remotely, after I left my home to ensure the overhead garage door was closed. What I forgot to do was exit the camera from the app. Instead, I just dismissed the app on my phone. What I believe dismissing the app without turning off the camera did was leave the camera and infrared light active the entire time I was away, which was about 2 hours. I'm almost certain that's what drained my battery.Don't make the same mistake I did... make sure to exit the camera feature from the app before dismissing or closing out the app, if you're using the video camera feature. In summary... really great device. You get spoiled by the fingerprint access quickly. Keys are so yesterday! ;-)

I don’t like them they don’t work. Very disappointing if you get one feature to work then another one quits working. This was a very expensive lesson as they are a complete failure & since I bought 2 of the devices I am out over almost $250.00. What makes it really bad is that I am disabled & in a wheel chair so I wanted them so I could answer the door per my phone app but I can’t do that because they don’t work properly. Lastly I am on a very fixed income & couldn’t really afford to buy them in the first place.
