The original filters were thick and no issues with fruit flies. I ooened the replacement filters and 2as shocked to find they were nothing like what was included in the product.I may as well search for thicker filter sheets and cut them to fit.

I was relieved to find replacement filters available for our small lidded compost can. These fit like the originals. Perfect!

I bought these after having my compost bin for a while. Despite having things like raw chicken cuttings in the bin, I haven't noticed any odor. I did learn one thing from my first set: Be very careful that no food touches the filter. I accidentally did that, and mold grew on the filter.I don't recall how long I had the original set. It was at least 6 months and I only replaced them because of the mold.

I had previously purchased packs of replacement filters for my Epica compost bin that were cheaper. Well, they simply didn't work as well as the filters that are specifically made for Epica.

Fits our counter top compost canister perfectly and does its job keeping in any odors that arise as the scraps sit there (even the times when we forget to take it out to the yard for 2+ weeks!). You do have to bend the edges a bit to get them set in the right place, but that is expected if you want a good overlap of the edges and get the maximum odor protection. I like that it comes in the two pack with both sizes for the upper and lower sections of the lid.

Not too expensive and very good at holding in orders. don't forget to put the big round one on the bottom, it's awkward to fit it into the slot but it needs to cover all the area. The square on fits at the top, in the dome next to the large holes.I've managed to use one set for up to 9 months - it could go longer! If you can't smell the compost then I recommend keeping the set you have.
