I ordered these flow meters for our yard water faucets so we can monitor the water usage of our lawns. They have a readout to show gallons and flow rate. These are easy to set once you get the button presses down. It is not hard to program for the mode you wish to monitor. They use a small coin cell battery internal (CR2032) which is included and is easy to replace when needed. It should last a full year so not too often I plan to replace the battery every spring so it will be good to use all summer long without issues. The meter is an awesome addition to monitor our water usage when we water the lawn or garden. These are built to great quality standards with quality materials. They do not leak at all. I would order these again and would recommend them to others. Very nice quality product for a reasonable price for two flow meters.

I just received these and have already put them to use! I am having problems with water pressure at my outside faucets. I can only run one tiny sprinkler at a time and it's frustrating. I have replaced the water pressure regulator and have it turned up near the maximum which didn't help. I also tested the pressure at the faucet which is near the same pressure as my next door neighbor who can run 3 sprinklers at full blast all across his yard and he has the same faucet pressure that I do. So I'm thinking it must not be the pressure but the "flow rate" so I am going to compare that next and see if it's not a pressure problem but a flow problem from maybe a small line or a constriction somewhere. These gauges should do the trick and hopefully give me a clue on what's causing the problem! They feel very well made and I didn't have any leaks from the attachment when running my faucets.

The included battery is easy to install - a little bit more difficult to remove. I used a pair of non conductive pliers to yank it out. Note that the negative side of the battery is towards the unit and the positive outwards. It is noted on the inside of the case. There is an extra rubberized cover inside to keep the water out of the battery compartment. The back cover does not have a rubberized seal but it looks like it blocks the electronics with the internal cover. The single button operation is easy to understand. Simple press to cycle through the views. in 3 of the displays a long press resets the total or average. In the AUTO - GAL/MIN screen a long press switches units to L/M and a longer press flips just the number part upside down, though the instruction page looks like it flips everything. The accuracy in filling a pair of 5 gallon buckets was acceptable and within my idea of the level in the bucket 5 gallons as being full.If the battery life is extremely short I will add a note when it fails to this review, but it is always a good idea to have a few very common 2032 cells on reserve.

I tested the water flow meter using a 6-gallon container and my camper with a 30-gallon freshwater tank. I was entirely satisfied with the accuracy and modes.Frist, a comment about the User Manual. It was clear and proved helpful. The only hesitation I had was pulling off the cover to install the battery, fearing I would break the plastic cover. Not to worry. A firm grasp using your thumb and index finger on the indented sides, along with a slight squeeze and pull: presto it comes right off. Now, where to install the battery? Again, the instructions are good, not necessarily excellent, but yet good enough to get the battery installed. With the brass fitting facing up and after removing the cover, you will see a rectangular-shaped black rubber cap on the right side. It has “open” printed on it, but in black so you need to look closely. It is easily removed by pulling upward to install the battery in the given slot. The battery’s positive side, i.e., marked with the + symbol, faces outward or to your right as you face the flow meter with the flow meter’s brass fitting facing up. Simply slide the battery in, cover with the rubber cap and reinstall the meter’s plastic cover with an audible “snap.”As to the water flow . . . . it proved accurate filling both the 6-gallon tank and the camper’s freshwater tank. We are on well water and our water pressure vacillates. I have always wondered what our water flow is, the gallons per minute. In the past using my watch I timed how long it took to fill the freshwater tank: somewhere around 10 to 12 minutes, translating to about 3 minutes per gallon. Yes, sadly not a great flow! Yet, we live with it. Anyway, using the flow meter I discovered that our flow rate fluctuates between 3 and 5 gallons per minute. When filling the 6-gallon container, it took not quite 2 minutes. When filling the camper, I reached the 30-gallon mark at a wee bit less than 10 minutes, but I continued to fill until the water poured out of the spout (I was curious as to how much more than 30 gallons it holds). That took between an additional minute to 2+ minutes. Thus, per the flow meter the camper’s freshwater tank, when pushed to the limit holds more than the spec’s 30 gallons.Overall, I am very satisfied with this flow meter and all 4 modes worked. Not only has it proved accurate, but it has cured my curiosities.

With the high variations in moisture levels, I put soaker hoses around the circumference of my house. I needed a way to track how much water was flowing out of my spigots and to track how much water was flowing into the soaker hoses. The meters use a battery to power their tracking, which is hard for me to access. I guess if I need to change the battery a piece of unfolded gauze and set of hemostasis will prove necessary. The settings are by pressing a button, or holding down the button to clear the total. So far the meters don't leak and seem to be tracking my soaker hoses water use. I'll update if something changes.

This model # FH-JSJSQ-G001 is a well made consumer-grade budget water Flow Meter (pair). It displays all the parameters one may want to know as a homeowner (water consumer). Has a single button to select the features. It's an impeller type flow meter, and the impeller is held in plastic bearings. The reading/measurement accuracy is adequate for home use - to a get a ballpark reading. When there's no activity for over a minute, it goes into sleep mode thus conserving battery use, but I still need to see how long the CR2032 battery lasts. As part of the winterizing plan, it's better to bring the entire unit indoors during winter; it's good for the battery-life as well as to safeguard against ice buildup.I had to use a small flat blade screwdriver to pry open the back cover to insert the battery. The battery polarity is clearly marked. The user-manual has all the info needed to use this flow-meter effectively.Good value for the 2-pack.

I have a well on my property and a 2500 gallon storage tank. It is helpful to know how much I am using in my orchard. These are simple to install and use. They seem to be well made and durable. If you are doing any kind of medium to large size watering these are a great tool to have.

Got these to help with filling our RV water tanks (fresh tank in the RV and the portable tank we carry in the truck) because the sensors only work intermittently and we often end up spilling some water on the ground. These meters have helped stop the water waste because now we can see how many gallons have gone in and we know exactly when to shut the water off.We have only used the total amount and flow rate functions so far but both seem pretty accurate based on knowing the capacity of our tanks. The connections seem good with no drips or leaks. The display is easy to read and it’s just a single button to toggle between modes.Very useful, especially for someone who wants to be more conscious of their water usage.

This handy water flow meter is a great way to manage your water usage and understand exactly how much you're using. It arrives ready for immediate use, complete with the necessary battery. Getting started is incredibly simple, just insert the battery and screw the meter onto your garden hose. I personally found it very useful for monitoring my water consumption in my rain barrel system. The setup process was a breeze; I simply attached it to the hose, and it was fully operational. The digital screen is clear and easy to read, even when the sun is bright. Navigating through its four different modes is straightforward, using just a single button. I primarily utilize the TOTAL mode for tracking overall usage. I've found it to be quite accurate, making it a valuable tool for efficient watering and better water management. The two pack is a great deal.

This water meter has the most convenient battery changing mechanism of all battery-operated water devices (timers, meters, etc.) – you simply pull off the plastic cover, and the CR2032 battery itself has a rubber sleeve that keeps the water out. Easy. There’s only one button – short press switches between four standard modes which are offered. Long press resets the counter in all modes but the flow mode – there it switches between gallons and liters (3 seconds) or flips the display 180° (6 seconds). The latter is convenient if the meter is positioned so you’d have to twist your neck excessively to read it; not as convenient as the full 360° mechanical rotation I had on another similar meter – but since it is not mechanical, also less likely to mess up the button (this happened to my old meter). The brass parts are good quality. The display is a little bit smaller and the digits to close to the right edge – but this would only be noticed by nitpickers like myself.Good and functional device(s). Recommended!

I picked this up to get a better handle on how much water I was using around the garden, and it’s actually been really helpful. The setup was super easy - just attached it to the hose, and it was good to go. The screen is easy to read, even in bright sunlight, and switching between the modes is simple with just one button. The brass connections feel really solid, definitely sturdier than the plastic ones I’ve used before. No leaks so far, and it’s held up fine through a couple of heavy rainstorms. The waterproofing seems legit, and the casing itself feels rugged. The flow meter has four modes, and I mostly use the TOTAL and FLOW settings. It’s surprisingly accurate too—I’ve used it to track water for the lawn and also to estimate how much I use when filling the pool or watering different areas. It’s made me more mindful about overwatering, which is a bonus.Nice little tool if you're into gardening or just want to keep track of your outdoor water use. It's well-built and does exactly what it promises.
