Such a clever idea. They make keeping everything hot a big holiday meal or church get together so much easier! They heat up quickly and are plenty hot to keep food warm. The silicone wipes down easily after use. And the fact that they roll for storage makes them that much more practical. Used these for Thanksgiving and Christmas and gave some for gifts and was pleased with both the quality and functionality. Highly recommended!

I do a lot of potlucks while glamping and have been using the steam trays due to simplicity and disposal. But, they're bulky, wasteful, and inconsistent at keeping food warm. This warming mat changes the game. Set the temperature on the digital readout and away you go. Apparently I can't post thermal images here so I had to rewrite this review without it. Every square inch of the mat heats up to the exact same temperature. When done, simply let it cool off and roll it back up until you're ready to use it again. The precise temp control works perfect to keep food deliciously warm. Not too hot or not too cold depending on what you're serving. If you don't have one of these yet, you need one!

We host a meal weekly and often used chafing dishes in order to try to keep foods hot for serving. Sometimes the dishes would get too hot and continue to cook with Sterno, and sometimes the dishes would be too far above a counter to be easy to access for people serving themselves. I saw this mat and thought it looked like a perfect solution!The mat is made of a strong silicone that is designed to distribute the heat on the top quite well, and to keep a decent amount of air and silicone holding the mat off of the countertop. There are some options for temperature as well as timer features that make it attractive. Unfortunately, these proved to be a little difficult to operate - although we seem to have a way to make it work.We often put two half-size steam pans directly onto the mat. The heat from the pan does not affect the surface of the warming pad at all and the food will keep warm while sitting on these - especially if the food is kept covered (even with something as simple as foil). I've noticed that things left in the open are not nearly as warm when placed on the mat.I didn't use a thermometer or take readings to figure out how well the mat holds its temperature, but so far I have been satisfied overall with the use of the mat. I dropped a star because of the odd control and the fact that I often wish it could get just a little warmer to help keep the food warm all the way through.

Great product. Kept all my dishes warm before serving. I had other food on the stove top, so this is a perfect addition especially for larger meal preparations.

I tested the efficiency of the mat using heated water (140 F) in a covered glass bowl. The mat was set at the highest temperature setting which the manual states is 212 F. After 10 minutes, testing was done with three different food thermometers and found that the water cooled off to 110 F. and would not get any hotter! I ordered this item because of the positive reviews but was sorely disappointed it did not meet the advertised temperatures.
