Stout, this is a solid mount. I drilled into my chimney and mounted an antenna there. This make it so much easier and secure than some metal straps that I have used previously. The ability to move the arm on the mount makes it easier to attach but also I can see this being useful for standing up and laying down an antenna on a truck.

This is a great product and built tough. I tried another one in the past from another manufacturer and it was cheap and broke less than 30 days. This one is built well and I feel it will last a long time. The only complaint I have and not sure if it’s Amazon or the manufacturer but it took over a month for me to receive when the shipping said a week.

TL-DR:Great replacement for a ball mounts, and for mounting in smaller footprint mounting situations.3/4 inch mounting hole, makes for quick NMO and Bee Hive installation.Pros:* Smaller mounting foot print that a standard ball mounts.* Solid! No rust as of 6months of use.* Will stand up for a 102’ whip (with additional hardware).* Instant solid ground upon install.Cons:* Have to drill separate hole to feed antenna cable/coax.* Bee Hive required for standard CB antenna install.* Sharp edges (be careful)When I moved to a 2011 Ford F-350 from a 1993 Ford E-250, utilizing my old ball mounts was just out. After consideration I looked for an anything that may work. I needed a way to attached radio antennas (yes plural) to the C-pillar next to rear cab doors. This placement a tight area.AndThis mount did it!Running an NMO antenna on the right and a Wilson Bee Hive for a SR-A10 center load antenna.I suggest using stainless steel nuts and bolts with nylon nuts or lock washers, as self tapping screws would unscrew themselves and fall out.Be aware that some of the edges may be sharp. One I received hard sharper edges than the second I bought.Definitely a worth wild product to consider.Looking forward to buying more.Hopefully stock will be replenish .
