Common problems and their solutions (temporary reference):
1: No display:
Check whether the connecting wire is correctly connected, whether the output terminal and input terminal are connected in reverse, and whether the power supply is correctly connected. The resolution of the test computer can be set to 800 * 600, and the refresh rate is 60HZ. Please pay special attention to the fact that desktop computers generally have too high resolution, which causes the TV to not support display.
2: Show snowflakes:
Usually current interference. The solution can be to plug and unplug the USB power cord again. Or unplug all cables, connect the USB power supply first, and then connect the AV and vga cables.
3: There are still images on the TV, but no dynamic images:
The hard drive is incorrect, re-download the hard drive.

Got this converter to use with a VGA monitor, yet the box suggested AV can only be outputted, and the box overall did not even work. I tried different power adapters and still nothing. The manual told me little to nothing about how it turns on or if it did. Maybe if I connected something to the ports it would turn on but no, nothing. Complete waste of time.

Went through all the settings, text still looked like alien writing. Can not duplicate my main screen. I can only ad a second screen. This defeats my purpose. WORST OF ALL. As soon as I plugged it in, security alerts for software I don't have popped up every 5-10 seconds. Had to shut off all notifications. Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Setting it in NTSC is a bit tricky, you really have to follow the manual to do it. It's something like: inside the menu, X down presses to reach the region setting and a few right presses to reach NTSC instead of PAL.I used it to do LOFI FUTURE's DIY project and it works wonders, even better than i tought.

Update: Connecting two of these to each other via VGA port DOES NOT extend your control of the image. 100% horizontal size on one box is the same as 100% horizontal size on two boxes. Only get one unless you're planning to use them on separate screens....Once you get it into the proper mode (in my case, NTSC-M) it works great, but I wish the scaling went a little farther. Even at 100% horizontal size, my classic minis (NES, SNES, Playstation, etc.) show pillarboxing in-game on my CRT. That means I'm going to have to order another one of these control boxes and connect the two of them together in order to accomplish what I wanted to and stretch the image to fill the screen. As long as your needs aren't as niche as mine, it's excellent for the money.

This is a great, cost effective device for connecting a PC via vga to a CRT tv. I'm using it to connect a Dell Optiplex PC running Batocera to my Sony CRT.The included cables are very cheap to best to use better quality ones.I saw a lot of reviews saying the unit displays a black and white, flickering image. I had this issue and found that it is due to the unit coming out of the box set to PAL output. If you're trying to use it on an NTSC TV, you have to navigate the menu semi blind to switch over from PAL to NTSC. Using the manual to figure out the button pushes needed to navigate the menu I got it to the correct and it displayed.Offers many more options to tweak the image output versus the previous HDMI to rca adapter that I was using and the picture is much better.
