It often gets stuck in very open areas and glitches out when I try to manually move it to the area I want. It never makes it back to the charger either. That’s what I get for the hundred I paid for it. I definitely wouldn’t pay more.

The Greenworks GRV-1010 Robotic Vacuum has been a fantastic addition to my home. It’s powerful, surprisingly quiet (most of the time), and handles pet hair and dust on both hard floors and carpets with ease. The 2200Pa suction really does the job, and the fact that it self-charges and connects to Wi-Fi makes it super convenient. Integration with Alexa is a bonus—it’s nice to just tell it to start cleaning. The only downsides I’ve noticed are that it occasionally gets tangled with wires if I forget to clear the floor, and it can make some noise if it runs over larger plastic pieces. But honestly, those are easy to work around. For the price, this vacuum is absolutely worth it.If you’re looking for a solid, budget-friendly robot vacuum that performs like a more expensive model, this one’s a great pick.

We have 4 cats and thought it would be a good idea to have one of these robot vacuum cleaners and so we got this Greenworks GRV-1010 that is on the low-price range (compared to iRobot, Roomba, etc) to test how they work, and we were so impressed with it that we bought a second one a week later. The amount of hair and dust they collect is incredible, even after we did the everyday cleaning, these vacuums still collect a lot!Setup: pretty easy setup (instructions are on a big cardboard and with easy-to-follow steps). Just make sure that the Wi-Fi (works with 2.4G) on the app is the same as in your phone and the vacuum with sync without issues.App: It is very basic; however, it has several features and options. It is easy to use and setup to the mode of your choosing (Smart, Wall Follow, Spiral or Manual)It doesn't allow you to map rooms, however, when it is in automatic mode the vacuum "maps" where it has been working/cleaning. Sadly, the maps are not stored in the app, but somehow, I believe it saves some information as we have noticed that every time it is more efficient and apparently avoids obstacles and furniture as if it remembers that they were on its path before. (I don't know if this is true or not, we have not found any info about this on their website or in other reviews)So, we are hoping that the app gets an update that allow us to map rooms or areas. It also works with Alexa, and you can name and control your vacuum, so.. ours are Ufito and Ufita (as they look like UFO's)Use: it is very convenient that we can schedule when we want it to do its work. And it does it very well. The brushes and vacuum capture a lot of hairs and dust. However, it doesn't work on high pile carpets, as the piles gets stuck on the rotating brushes and vacuum. This is the only thing we don't like about this vacuum. But besides this issue, it is very efficient vacuum and not as noisy as one would think. The vacuum noise is very tolerable, and it can also be adjusted on the app.And it is also fun to use in manual mode as it is like driving a remote-controlled car.Cleaning if the vacuum: The garbage bin is easy to clean. The vacuum includes a small brush and blade for easy cleaning and cutting hairs or things that could get stuck/tangled in the vacuum or brushes. We usually clean the bin every second day.Battery life: the battery last more than 2 hours of constant use. Usually when they finish their "daily" work they still have more than 50% of battery remaining. If the battery reaches 30% then it will stop and return to its base for recharging. In short, it is a great vacuum for the price, and the only thing that needs improvement is the app.

DO NOT BUYLikes:- the scheduling function on the app. You can adjust the days and times in which you’d like the robot to start clean up. The app sends a notification when the robot starts cleaning.- the suction and bin. It picks up fine dust and dog hair. It was purchased with the intention to help with the dog hair from a small dog that sheds frequently. After one day (two cleaning sessions), the bin was about 1/3 full. You will be surprised at how much dust is on the floor even though we sweep daily.- additional parts. It came with two brushes and a filter on the vacuum and another set in the box. At least I don’t have to buy replacements in a hurry. Also the app gives you the average lifespan of the parts in hours and as a percentage.- setting up was easy except for linking the app. Once I figured out the wifi part, everything else was straightforward.- noise level is acceptable. It’s a talker which volume can be adjusted in the app. There’s is the option to leave it quiet. It tells you when it’s returning to dock, battery low, stuck etc.- adjustable profile settings. You can even name it. We named it Rosie after the cleaning robot on The Jetsons and included a matching photo.-cleaning map. There is map showing where the robot has passed.Dislikes:- settling up the app required me to separate my wifi frequency. It took me a day to figure it out. I have a camera which works on 2.4GHz only and it connected fine with the wifi network. This gave me the impression that the tech might be a little outdated.Recommendations:- clear the room as much as possible. It gets tangled in cords, small mats and wires that are on the ground.- take it close to the dock when sending it back to the dock/ home. It gets lost and can’t find it way back or takes five minutes or more to find home.Overall, I like it. It’s my first cleaning robot and sometimes I get a little frustrated but it has helped me keep the place clean and tidy. For under $70, I’d say give it try.Update- 25-10-23. Rosie starts up on her own while everyone is asleep during the night. First time I happened was about two weeks ago. The noise woke me up. The second time it happened was tonight. It is not scheduled to operate later than 8pm.Second update: note that you will lose warranty of the device is not in North America which is what happened to me. So if you’re located anywhere else but North America, don’t buy this robot. I was advised to reset the device to help with the “random late night wake up and clean without being manually activated” sessions. Downgrading my review to two stars.Update: the robot refuses to connect the app now. There was an internet issue for a few hours. When it was resolved I tried to reconnect the robot and it will not connect. I’ve tried clearing the cache, manual and auto pairing, delete device. Nothing is working. I have a useless robot now. Not even six months old and it’s junk now. DO NOT BUY. TRY ANOTHER BRANDJuly 18, 2024The robot has a right wheel error and spinning in reverse. It’s not operating as it should and all troubleshooting has left it useless. Resetting plus checking the wheel for tangles gave negative results. Another reason to not buy this robot. DO NOT BUY, seek another brand
