Being made in China, I didn’t expect what I received in a quality manufactured chuck. I don’t know the source for the steel , but I suspect the former life was a military tank! This chuck is heavy, machined precisely, and operates very smoothly. It will be hard to prove, but I suspect this chuck will last centuries (if chucks will still be of use in centuries)!

This is actually my second Eumtenr Heavy Duty 1/2-20UNF Drill Chuck. The first one was returned due to greater than acceptable wobble when mounted onto my 3/8" cordless drill. So this is a replacement of the first. This one still has a slight wobble, which increases with the length of the drill bit mounted into it. Otherwise, the key for the chuck fits nicely, and the chuck was protected with a bit of lubricant. The wobble on the second one is about half of the wobble of the first chuck so I've chosen to keep it. So far I haven't used the chuck yet.09/07/24 Edit: Today I was able to eliminate much of the wobble in the chuck by uninstalling and reinstalling the lock screw a few times. My take is that the bevel on the lock screw doesn't naturally settle to the proper position when tightened down.

Hole for lock bolt drilled off-center. Thus the lock bolt could not be installed. Returned the chuck.

Beautifully made drill chuck. The ½ -20 UNF threads is the standard size that fits many drills. In my case I have an ageing Hammer drill that still works fine with a much worn chuck and key. It’s very hard to tighten a drill enough in the old chuck to do heavy duty drilling into concrete. This Eumtenr chuck brought my drill back up to “good as new”! No more loose and slipping bits! A great solution for older tool that still has life left but need a better chuck!

Want to use the power of your SDS Plus drill with standard drill bits? This is the solution. You don't need to get a second powerful drill for those bits, just use your rotary. They include a chuck key and a couple adapters. I don't think I'll ever use the hex adapter, but I'm not complaining, and am glad that I have it "just in case". It's a complete kit and now you can use the muscle of your SDS Plus drill when needed. They came well packaged, and the chuck was lightly oiled to preserve it and keep it corrosion free. I think this is such a great solution and product, I can't see why rotary drill manufacturers wouldn't include it with their kit if it has a drill only mode. Really pleased and happy with this.

I opened the box, saw the chuck, and said, "You complete me." Sometimes I just need the extra, 'Umph,' and the low RPM of my SDS+ rotary hammer. There's a perfect little cubby for her in the case – like it was made for her. She looks like all the other inexpensive import chucks, works well, and there's no visible run out.
