"Heavy-Duty Battery Disconnect Switch, 275A 12-48V On/Off Top Post Battery Switch for Car, RV, Boat, and Marine Vehicles - Reliable Power Cutoff Solution" Got this for an RV who's battery kept dying during storage. Apparently there is something in the camper that draws battery current even with the master cutoff turned to off. I mounted this switch on top of the battery and now I can totally disconnect it from the RV. The battery box cover still fits over the battery too. One word of caution, This switch cannot be used in environments where its exposed to water in any way. The switch is not waterproof. The metal connectors on the device appear to be soft pot metal and given a shiny finish. The switch operates easily enough. I don't think it will be jarred into the opposite position while you drive. I had already had one RV battery go bad, so this was well worth it. It'll save me from having to replace this battery.

I installed this on my vehicle which I don't drive much but due to drain caused by certain electronic components in the vehicle still drawing power while off leading to a dead battery when parked for few weeks.To avoid drain and worry about carrying a jump starting kit I installed this cut-off switch. My vehicle is parked in my garage so it is OK but I would not recommend this if you plan to park your vehicle in public space. This switch also extends the life of my connector end and cable due to avoidance of removal every time to prevent draining of battery.The fit of the switch does not cause much stress on the battery posts when switching it on or off. The feel of the switch is great and lets you know when locked into position.A good option and good quality product from what I could notice with limited usage.

I have a couple of vehicles that I use less frequently including a tractor, pick-up and a classic car. It's inevitable that something will drain the battery if I leave it connected so I wanted to add some kind of quick shut-off instead of wrenching off the terminal every time I thought it might site. This is perfect and I'll get more now for all of my vehicles. I could see it as a good security device too to disable the car and slow down a would-be thief. A good value for some peace of mind.

Good product easy to operate and fairly easy to install. They sell small ones that will fit in tight situations on your battery easy to turn on and off.

I have dual batteries on my f350 and I wanted two switches to isolate and cut-off my batteries when needed. The first one I got was really high quality and very flexible as far as ways to mount and configure the terminal position…however it was nearly twice the price of this one. The post was a little tight but it’s better than being loose. There’s no way to configure this for different mounting positions, but the advantage is that it’s much lower profile than others which came in handy as my battery set up quite high and there wasn’t much room between the terminals and my hood. This fit the bill, was inexpensive and the cut-off switch works as expected. Good value but it ain’t fancy.

Thisxis the first cutoff Ive liked - most are bulk and cantilever off the edge of battery which creates all sorts of issues. Also they FEEL janky! This one is small enough to fit on top of my battery and the turnimg knob feel solid- as does the thump of the connection when it is turned. The knob motion does NOT pull the way lever types do. No key to lose or remote. This is great for wroking on vehicles, golf carts, machinery as well as disabling them or to prevent draining of batteries for long term storage. I ordered for my Cushman Titan to make working on it easier as well as to prevent battery drain. The only possible shortcoming is that the battery connector is the shorter type but its not really an issue like it was on the lever cut offcas the actuon of using it produces no fulcrum pressures. It is tight, fits well and fully connects & disconnects as expected. Definitely the most durable feeling one ive used out of 4 different types. I definately would recommend THIS cutoff & can honestly say ive never liked any of the others enough to say that - in fact Ive steered people away from every other one I've used before. My favorite before this was probably the red plastic key type- this is better same action , better built , on the battery rather than remote + no key to lose or tether! This may not fit on top of all batteries - still sturdy when sticking off the side - as/long as you have space . Check my pics on the grid board for measurements!

Great device, fit barely in my Corolla battery space, but I would suggest to the manufacturer they make it 1 inch shorter
