Easy to grip and use, even for smaller hands (Euro in my photo for size reference). An absolute kitchen essential. Don't make breaded porkchops without it! :)

This tenderizer is lighter than I expected but the weight is right there in the description, so I can't fault it for that. This works great on chicken and pork, but might not work as well on a thick cut of beef, like round steak.I'll be honest, my wife likes it better than I as I was hoping for a little heavier tenderizer, but this does the job.Grip and feel of the item is good and I like that there is a flat side to the mallet, which helps if you are working on a more delicate piece of meat. Overall, it is a nice little tenderizer, just be aware that is a little on the lighter side.

If you do much cooking and like to cook meats, then this is what you are going to need to tenderize your food. One side is flat for things like chicken or nuts. The other side it textured for pounding red meat. Nice feel and decent weight. Does the job, I recommend it.

Ok I’m seriously surprised at how nice this is. It’s heavy & sturdy yet feels comfortable and lightweight enough to handle. It has a rubber like handle that’s slip proof & the rest is aluminum alloy so it has some weight to it. I like the dual end as well. We cook & grill out a lot so this was a must! This meat tenderizer works great! It is a little smaller than I expected but it seems to have a good weight to it. Not too light and not so heavy that it's a pain to use. It has a bumpy side that works great to really soften up your meat and pound the seasonings in, and the flat side is gteat if you are just wanting to flatten. The handle is comfortable to hold and grip, and has a good shape so your hand isn't sliding off. Very happy with it!

I don’t know if there’s a standard or not for how heavy a tenderizer needs to be, but this one is on the light side at about 9 oz or 255gr. I guess it is easier for a smaller figured person to use it. There is a small tear/blemish on the back where the handle meets the stem, but there’s also a lifetime warranty card inside, so I better keep it. Thanks for reading, and YMMV.
