Overall good crochet kit, however mine was missing the instructions so I had to guess when you switch colors. But other than that loved it!!!

I never learned how to really crochet as a girl, other than to make my dad a ten foot long red and white Christmas stocking. He thought it was great, my mom took it apart before New Year's because it was "wasteful." *sigh*Given my bad experience, I never wanted to learn how to do more crocheting, until now. With my first grandchild on her way, maybe I'll try to learn again.I already started this kit, trying the blue axolotl as my first attempt. The instructions are simple, but darn if my arthritic fingers aren't giving me fits. I'm going to try wrapping the hook with masking tape and wrapping over it with plastic wrap. That way I can build the hook handle width slowly until I get it right. It'll also keep the sticky tape off my first project.I like how everything is included except for scissors. I haven't used the markers or eyes yet, but have hemostasis to help me manipulate the accessories.

Adorable kit for someone that has a foundation of crochet skills. I couldn't have been more pleased with the packaging, the tools and quality of this kit. It is adorable and would make an excellent gift IF you have some basic knowledge of crochet or access to someone who does. The kit provides you with url scans to some good you tube tutorial videos but they are general crochet videos- not step by step instructions for this kit. So... I'm giving the kit 4 stars because I ha e to admit I'm just inept, and I hope to fund soneone that can help me get far enough along to make one of these little animala! But really, I might otherwise give it more like 3.5 stars. If you have a crochet mentor though, I'd definately go for it! Also, I saw kits similar to this at craft dtores that were just 1 animal for the same price so I feel like this is a very good value.

Adorable beginner crochet kit! Comes with everything you need in a nice box. The quality of the yarn seems good for a beginner kit. It comes with instructions and a qr code for further instructions. We are excited to make these !

I had previously purchased some crochet figurines for my kids because they were soft and cute. But that sparked my curiosity on how to make them or even get started. Enter this starter kit for beginners. It’s an amazing kit as it seems to have everything (and it is a lot) to learn. First there are two instructions. One is a QR code with instructions on how to knit the axolotls pictures at the front of the box. Second is a basics instructions on how to start anything else such as how to use the needle, wrap the yarn, etc. The kit includes 4 spools of yarn, a tiny bit of black yarn (for the mouth), 2 vacuumed sealed packs of stuffing, some black screws (for the eyeballs), some plastic looking safety pins, a needle hook, and a couple needle threaders. Excited to get started and learn this craft! Looks fun.

work got crazy as soon as i received these, so when things calm down this summer, i'm really looking forward to learning how to crochet. i love that there's both colors in here! the kit is PACKED (like i can't close it after i opened it!!) and contains a booklet with pretty straightforward photos and even QR codes for video tutorials. i can't wait!
