This product is working well for me, but I installed the brackets directly onto framing. The screws provided with the brackets stripped far too easily, despite pre-drilling and lubricating the threads. My guess is that the screws hold up better when using the plastic drywall anchors.

I purchased these to attach to the back of my garden shed to hang my 12’ kayak and also a 20’ aluminum extension ladder. Though they are not as heavily made as I had hoped, when securely attached to a stud, they seem to be nice and tight. They were advertised as being for outdoor use, which was the reason I purchased these, but only time will tell how they will hold up to the unpredictable Indiana weather. All said, the are secure and can take the weight placed on them.

These allowed us to mount our kayaks directly onto a building near the water for easy access. Great price compared to other products we researched. Can hang kayaks of varying lengths and depths.

At first I thought these would be too flimsy but in fact they work great on the side of my house. I have two 10’ 36# kayaks mounted one above the other. They have been just fine, surviving both a good sized earthquake and a big wind storm. So, yeah I am very happy for the price.
