One of the only 110/220 40 amp-capable chargers with an app that I've seen. It was my first choice for months, so I was thrilled to get it at Amazon for half the Fulsolen website's MSRP. It is very well built, and has good functionality even without the app. About the app though: it works great at home, but when I tried to choose my charger in the app when I was charging at a remote campsite, it couldn't connect to it since I didn't have Wi-Fi or data. This detail would have bothered me to know while I was charger-shopping, but now that I have used it without the app, I'm not disappointed with this discovery at all. A solid purchase.

I had a 32 amp that I replaced. This does charge about 20% faster at 40 amps, which is what you would expect. It works well. It does have an app, but the app is Bluetooth only - not WiFi. You have to be close to the charger to interact with it. You can lock it from the app, but again, to unlock it, you have to be close to it (if a guest stops by and wants to charge, they can't unless they have the app). It is nice that it comes with 2 power plugs. However, the plugs slide into the unit with no visible seals. Although I doubt rain can easily get in, I would suggest maybe putting some silicone around the seam to ensure the rain doesn't penetrate. Overall, this is a really nice charger, but at $400, even with the $100 coupon, I think there are other options out there that would do the same or more and be a better price.

It charges my Tesla Model Y and Hyundai Ioniq 5 efficiently. The adapter is useful.
