Ordered this with low expectations, but it performs perfectly. Was considering a 4 star rating due to the lettering and finish on the product not being perfect, but after using it today I changed it to 5 stars. Hooked it up to a standard gas grill propane tank. Turned the tank valve open all the way and then opened the wand’s valve open about half way and hit the piezo igniter button. The gas lit the first time and then I turned the wand up full blast. Wow! So much gas/flame was coming out that I actually had to cut it back a little so the gas didn’t blow out the flames of the wood I was burning in a barrel. I used it for about 5 min to make sure the wood was well lit and it then burned like a champ. I’ll never go back to fire starters and lighter fluid again. This is my new favorite tool.

My neighbor has a tool very similar to this one and he lent it to me last year to persuade me to use it on my weeds as opposed to only using herbicides on the lawn. I liked his weed torch, it was similar to this one only his used a coleman propane tank that attached to the bottom of the burner, it screwed in and while it stuck out some, it was easy to carry and go around the yard from weed to weed.I didn't get to use his too much, he had lent it to me when it was almost our of gas but I did get to try it on one side of the house and I really liked it, I especially had wanted to use it on the payment where the weeds keep coming back no matter what weed killers I used, but being it was out of gas I didn't get a chance to try it there. Finally, I got my own! And yes, some assembly is required, it was easy to put together only this one was a little different in that you need a larger propane tank for it to work. Then hose and connection fit into a 20 lbs. tank, which I happen to have since we own a Blackstone grill, but as I went around trying it I soon realized that lugging around a large tank was not practical. Yes, it works, great! I went around the edges of the sidewalk and toasted some pesky clover that had quickly amassed into a 3ft clump on the dormant yard, but bringing along a larger tank seemed a bit unpractical. The flame is strong and steady, and the handle feels great and I liked that I didn't have to get low, or bend down to use it but I kind of wished it was like my neighbors that used a smaller camping propane tank. Other than that, it's effective at taking care of weeds, just be careful not to light your dormant yard on fire.

More uses for this than I could have imagined. I’ve seen these used to burn off weeds growing in a rock bed with great and fast effect. I’ve also been trying to eliminate an old stump by burning it. I’ve made some headway with lighter fluid and charcoal, but I’ve made the most progress with this propane burner. I’m interested to use this next winter as well. Where I live we can have some nasty ice storms and I could see a use for this to melt ice in my driveway so that if I had to go somewhere, I at least would be safe getting into and out of my garage. Torch is easy to assemble, easy to light and use, and is built very well. Would be nice if they had a product that paired one of these torches with a wheeled carrier (luggage style with extendable handle) for carrying the propane tank.

This thing will flat BBQ those weeds and anything else that gets in the way so be careful! Ive heard complaints on these from a friend about propane usage (cant use the small tanks) but this one has no major flaws I can find so far. It does require a bit of assembly but thats not a negative IMO. Its just a fact due to high mfg costs for freight on larger items. I will say that its fairly propane hungry and you need to use the larger 20lb tank (std BBQ grill tank) I put my tank on the back of my atv with straps and just drove around and burned the weeds mostly without getting off! I also put the tank on a dolly and pulled it around the tighter areas making it less of a task. I live on a farm and we have lots of needs for killing weeds. One note: It also is a great way to preheat metal/cast iron prior to welding! 5 stars here...Genes 2 cents...

Propane Torch Weed Burner Kit, Heavy Duty Blow Torch with 10FT HoseIf you have ever used one of these you know they sound like a jet engine running near you. I have another brand with a 25 ft hose and I like this one better for several reasons. My only complaint is that I needed to provide some propane tape on the fittings to feel safe. This hose is more what I am used to for propane hoses with an additional glossy finish. This hose has a hand-friendly section for attaching to your 5 or 20 lb propane tank unlike my other one where you need a wrench to attach and detach. The main handle is more comfortable as it is slightly rubbery/gummy vs hard plastic. If you are OK with moving your tank around or you only need to work a small area, the 10 ft hose length is fine. I use this on a 20x16 area of river rock so I need to carry the tank with me or use my 25 ft version. For 45 dollars, a good value even with the 10 ft hose. Just remember when you are done, the main burn chamber stays hot for another hour or so.

Being chemical-free for 29 years—Weeds.R.Us. When I saw this “Propane Torch Weed Burner Kit,” I knew that I had to try it. I am very glad that I did…There is something rather satisfying about burning weeds versus constantly bending over and pulling/tugging them out. This weed burner has a long handle which means—no more bending over to weed. Plus, the 10’ hose allows me to torch weeds for a good distance before needing to move the propane tank again.Having acreage and tons of weeds, this Propane Torch Weed Burner is a blessing. I can torch the weeds in the cracks along our driveway and around the pool pavers in no time flat. But I will admit that I plan to buy an LP tank carrier so I can roll the propane tank around our property instead of toting it from place to place.I am very happy with this weed burner.
