Pretty straight forward product, nice to have a smoke/carbon monoxide detector all in one. Follow the directions, mount it and know that you'll be alerted if something ever happens. It will let you know with an audio alert in English if it detects smoke or carbon monoxide, seems well built as it should be for this price.** As a Vine Reviewer, I do have to pay taxes on the items I receive. So I'm not going to promote items that I don't think are worth it - they'll get the rating I think/feel they deserve. I'm not being paid to review an item one way or another. **

This carbon monoxide and smoke detector comes with everything needed for its installation. We have First Alert detectors installed in our home, which are hardwired but need additional batteries to be installed for it to function fully. However with this detector, they claim that it comes with the batteries installed and they would last until the life of the detector which is 10years. This detector is a little bigger than the First alert smoke detector we have, so we had to remove the existing plate of the First Alert detector and install the new bigger plate. This process was very easy and then we connected the wires and plugged in the detector, and turned it clockwise to lock it in place. They mentioned in the manual that it would get activated by itself once installed, but ours started beeping giving a voice alert of battery low continuously and we then took it out and pressed the activate switch after which it stopped beeping and there was green light from then. We tested it and the alarm is pretty loud which is a good thing and we also like the additional voice alert feature on this detector, which avoids the confusion of why the detector is beeping. As of now we liked the detector very much and time would tell if it really lasts for 10years.

It was time to change my smoke/co detectors. I saw this one on Amazon and like the idea that you don't have to change the batteries cuz I hate when those things start beeping and saying low battery in the middle of the night. This detector is a little bigger than my Kidde detectors and it seems to be well made. I had two issues with installing this one. Unlike other smoke/co detectors that I've installed, you can't just twist this onto the bracket from at any position when you place it on the bracket. The proper slots have to line up exactly with the matching brackets on the plate. I knew that would be an issue, blindly stabbing the detectors onto the bracket and trying to get things to line up so I made a little red sharpie mark that I could use to line up and that made it easier to match up and twist on. The other issue I had with it was that the wiring pigtail that snaps into the back of the detector. The locking tab would not grab the slot as if it wasn't being pushed in far enough. I eventually got I got it to stick. There was another part of the mounting bracket that I was confused about so I just read the instructions...duh...There is a feature to twist the detector onto the bracket so it cannot be removed easily, tamper proof... an example of a rental or such. There's a little tab that has a little scissors icon next to it and you have to basically break this little tab off so it is easy to remove if you ever have to remove it. I'm glad I realized that before I put it up and locked it on there. Other than the problems mentioned, the detector tested well and works fine... just hopefully I'll never need to have it go off for real. I gave it four stars due to the problems I mentioned.

Cheap Chinese garbage. The alarm will not attach to the supplied holder plate. No customer service except chinese phone number. Don't buy this useless product!

My existing smoke detectors hit their 10 year point and started chirping, so I ordered this to replace and upgrade (these also do carbon monoxide). The unit is hardwired so you do have to replace the pigtail as well as the base plate. I use Wagos which makes this very quick and easy so the unit was installed in about 10 minutes and functionally tested good. The unit appears to be well made and the only minor issue is that attaching the unit to the base plate can be a little difficult if you don't get it aligned right to start (there are marks on the unit and base). Pricing is about the same as most smoke detectors that don't have carbon monoxide detection.

One of the nine smoke.carbon monoxide alarms in my home started chirping to let us know it was dying (and no surprised, it was 9 years old), so we needed a replacement. While I did not know this brand, the specs looked good. The installation was fairly simply (unscrew the old base plate, attach the included plate with the included screws, turn off power, disconnect old wiring harness and attached new one with wiring nuts, screw into place). I tested the interconnect, and it worked fine. I also speaks and calls out fire or carbon monoxide in French and English. All in all, a good replacement.

The previous smoke detectors in my home were all 20 years old and well overdue for replacement. This combination smoke and carbon monoxide detector was very easy to install to my home's existing wiring (matching the included wiring harness colors like-to-like and connecting with wire nuts), and the mounting bracket lined up perfectly with the original ceiling mount junction box.

I needed to upgrade and replace a very old smoke detector that was installed when my house was build 30 years ago. That model was only a smoke detector and I specifically got this because it is also a carbon monoxide detector as well and this model must be hard wired but also has a lithium battery backup in the event there is a power outage. Comes with everything needed for installation and the installation was very easy, only taking a few minutes using the original wiring in my house. The alarm sound is loud enough to be heard from anywhere in my 2500 dq ft home. Excellent functionality and product.
