About this item

  • Seal Dustproof Insulation: the bottom sealing strip of the Larsen storm door is used on the inside of the door to provide an extra barrier against the elements.
  • Compatibility: The storm door sweeps are compatible with the Larson & Pella storm door extender and are suitable for most storm, metal, and vinyl doors.
  • Easy to install: Before installation, it is recommended that liquid soap be dripped into the door groove and the rubber strip slid into the existing door sweep groove.
  • Durable: The Replacement Larson storm door sweep is made of high-quality rubber. It has a strong seal and wear resistance and is not easy to tear or warp, helping to reduce the penetration of dust and outdoor pollutants.
  • Adjustable design: Replacement Pella storm door sweeps can be cut to the correct length based on your needs. Before cutting, install it at the bottom of the shroud for a more accurate length. (Note: Please ensure the profile shape matches your original part before placing an order.)

Would not fit my Larson screen door. I used dish soap as a lubricant as advised by Larson (no instructions came with this item). After 30 minutes of fighting it was only halfway installed and I had a pile of rubber shavings at the insertion point. Nothing like this happened with the sweep that originally came with the door. Anxiously awaiting the OEM part from Larson - even if it is more money.

Have you had the issue of cold air or a little rain coming in from the bottom of your storm door? No? Just me? Finally, I’ve found a unique experience here on the internet! Well, anyways, that’s besides the point! The point is that I found a solution to my totally unique and rare issue of the leaky storm door. This sealing strip is perfect to put on the bottom of your storm doors, whether they’re metal or vinyl. This little extra bit of rubber helps create a more secure barrier between your storm door and the outside elements. The rubber itself is high quality and wear resistant, meaning it will take a lot of damage and abuse before it even starts to crack. The rubber strip can be cut to length to fit your door appropriately. So if you live somewhere with frequent storms or rain, I would recommend this!
