5 in 1 Stud Finder
Equipped with 3 scanning modes and 5 measurement depths, the stud finder can inspect a variety of materials and depths to meet all your needs.
These include 1/2-inch, 1-inch, 1-1/2-inch stud mode, metal mode and AC scan mode.
The stud mode locates the center and edges of wood, metal, and joists;
The metal scan mode detects metal up to a depth of 2.36'';
The AC scan mode detects live, unshielded AC wires up to a depth of 2''.
Warns when wire is energized and auto-calibrates
The stud finder features AC wire warning in all modes and depths. It will warn you when the wire is energized, reducing the risk of accidental drilling and ensuring your safety.
Simply place it flat on the wall, turn on the power, and press and hold the left scan button to begin auto calibration. Calibration is complete when a reassuring “beep” is heard and the screen clears to zero.

Step 1
Press the MODE button to select the mode you need .

Press the calibration button once and wait for the signalbars disappear and there ring out "Beep" sounds.

Press the tool flat against the wall and slide slowlythe tool across the surface.

Find the location. When the target position is located, thescreen displays the backlight and the Beep sounds.
NOTE:
Please remember to Re-Calibration when you change to other "Mode" or Long from the test air to avoiderror reading.

Terrible. Doesn’t ever calibrate, when it says calibrated it will identify studs in the wrong place. Haven’t gotten it to work for me once.Not worth the money, not easy to use.

This little tool has helped me reduce the number of holes I typically put into the walls. Before this, I would tap on the wall and hope I found a good spot to tap into. However, with this tool, I am more confident of my nail placement and can hand heavier projects without worry of them falling out of the space or having to tear the walls up looking for a stud.

I bought this based on the plethora of good reviews, but I’m not sure if I got a dud or what. I read through the instructions and made sure to calibrate the stud finder before I used it. I started out on the shallowest setting, as instructed. Occasionally it would indicate a stud, but it wasn’t consistent. I would go back over the same area, and it would then indicate nothing was there. I held the finder tight to the wall to the point it was scrubbing, and it still asked to be calibrated every couple seconds. I cycled through the other depths and tried moving it at different speeds and still had issues, so I eventually gave up and used a stud finding magnet. While that took more time to use, it was much more accurate and reliable than this electronic stud finder. I don’t recommend this one unless you’re ready and willing to drill multiple test holes into your wall, which really defeats the purpose.

I wasn’t the one that figured out how to use it my daughter’s BF did then we tested it and it worked, then I hung my round bathroom mirror. Honestly if you need a stud finder buy this one instead and get the all in one kind.

The first one I received did not work after reading the directions four times and trying it 15 times. Sent it back and received a new one the next day and it worked great locating where the studs were in a wall where I was going to install a glass door.
