I purchased this item in order to remove water from a small pool for children. It works very well, it's light of weight making it easy to carry. The motor is none too loud and it works very effectively removing the water.

Ny sole function for this item is the 6 foot dog/kid swimming pool for my Golden. After a day of playing, I attach it to the garden hose and water the flowers and the veggies, and for my purpose it is perfect. Drains the pool in a reasonable amount of time, and I can reuse the water rather than pulling the pool plug and flood the yard. Plants like it because it is warm water. Perfect price and item for my use. HIGHLY recommend.

Upon opening the box, you get the electric submersible pump, 4 rubber suction feet that you have to put on, 3 hose adapters, a 10 ft drainage hose, and a mesh storage bag. The hose was really oily and sticky and there are no instructions.I used this electric submersible pump to empty the old dirty leaf filled water from last year out of my kid's pool (didn't get to winterize due to surgery). It took a while, but it got almost all of it out to where I could actually see the bottom. At first I had the adjustable water flow knob turned too far past the max flow and it made the dial pop off in the pool. (That is actually how you open it to clean or drain the pump if need be). I was kind of hesitant to put my hand in the pool with this pump (didnt dawn on me to turn it off first using the on/off switch on the plug outside the pool). But I did it anyway and here I am still alive, writing this review. Nothing happened to me at all! So it's safe. (But dont try that with any other electrics!)So then I realized that I had the wrong adapter on (I had the biggest one on with the hose stuck inside of it, lol) and the hose kept popping out. But once I put the right adapter on (I think the smallest one) it worked like a charm. So if you need to drain some water from somewhere, this is your guy. Just place, plug it in, turn on, and let it do it's work! All in all, I'd recommend this electric submersible pump. It's compact, quiet, affordable, seems durable, and it gets the job done.

First impressions upon opening the box...zero instructions and the hose had a smelly oily film all over it. I cleaned off the outside of the hose with soap and warm water and that helped quite a bit. The device looked like decent enough quality so I moved it to be bathroom to test it out.At first, it seemed like this pump wasn't going to work. I tested it in the bathtub with a few inches of water with the hose running over to the sink. I plugged it in and turned it on and it made noise like it was working, but no water was coming out of the hose. I pulled off the hose and saw that water was flowing out of the top as expected, but without much pressure. Figuring maybe it was too weak to push out the air in the tube that was running upwards to the sink a few feet above the tub floor, I moved the entire hose into the tub to see if I could get it started, but even that didn't do it. I was finally able to get it to work by closing off the end of the tube with my thumb for a while to let it build up some pressure. Once I did that a few times and got the water flowing, it worked fine even with the other end back up in the sink. Some very short instructions about this would have been really helpful. This is a small device, so I didn't expect the flow to be very fast and it isn't. I have an industrial pump that I use to empty my hot tub, but it only works until the water is down to a few inches and then it can't do the rest. I've used a shop vac to suction out the rest of it before, but got this pump to see if it can do the last few inches of water. It has nice suction cups on the bottom and the water intake is pretty close to the bottom, so it seems like this will be able to get it down to the last 1/2 inch or so but not get all of it. I'll also try it without the suction cups to see if that lets it get even farther, but I think I'll still need the shop vac for the last bit. This also seems like it could come in handy if we get some basement leaks again like we did this past winter. With only getting under an inch of water, the commercial pump couldn't help and I had to rely on the shop vac. This pump probably would have gotten up most of that.

I needed a submersible pump for my 7 person hot tub. I change water out every year and this pump does the job. I had to purchase a 1in ID hose 25ft long to reach discharge outlet drain to fit my needs. It comes with the 3 different hose fittings to allow different hose ID. The pump works great and pump the hot tub water with no issues. The pump left just about a 1/2inches of water in hot tub. It has a on/off switch close to the plug which I like compared to my other submersible pump that had a float switch and it left about 6inches of water which had use my shop-vac to suck out the rest of the remaining water. Over all it works great and highly recommend it!

Really good looking submersible pump! I had one similar but this one is much nicer and even allows you to regulate the gpm flow. Auto shut-off so it will stop when the water is fully pumped out (about 1/8 inch) so you don't have to be there watching. We used this to pump out our hot tub and it quickly and quietly did it using the included hose (just wish the hose was a little bit longer -- we had to reposition, but made it work). I WISH we had this earlier this year, and we could have used it to also pump the water off of the pool cover. It really does work well. I only wish there was an adapter so if I wanted to attach a hose to the inlet port to pump water out using a hose instead of placing this unit into the water directly. But for the money and functionality, you won't find a better pump.

This pump looks great and quality feal to it. I haven't tried using it yet to pump out my pool cover but did test it in tub and it looks like it can do the job. I like all the fittings but i wish it had a regular hose fitting or the threaded area would take a regular hose. I did get it to adapt after getting a different fitting from hardware store.
