TL; DR - Before you buy this, make sure it fits you car and your battery. The box is L4"xW3"xH1.75". Make sure you have a flat top battery and that you have clearance for any cover over the battery (or that you are willing to cut through that cover).I was not able to install this on either of my two cars. On my BMW X3, the battery is under a panel in the rear cargo area, so there is no way this would have fit without cutting a hole in the panel or jerryrigging the connection to the negative terminal which I did not want to do. On my Kia EV6, the stock battery has recessed terminals. This device is only designed for batteries with flat tops with the terminals protruding. Again, I could have figured out a way to jerryrig the negative connection, but I'm not willing to do that.Note that I never installed this so I cannot comment upon its functionality. If you've got the right battery and the clearance, this might be something that works for you. Just do your homework and try to figure out whether it will fit in your car, on your battery, before you buy it.

Installed in just a few minutes and it fit my battery with just a bit of maneuvering. Tested it after installing and it worked to shut off with the button and the remote. I also have a solar panel on my dash that hooks to my battery to keep it charged during the weeks my truck sits idle. I hooked that back up to so my truck should be good to go even if I don’t use it for a month. The solar panel won’t keep it fully charged while the battery is connected due to the alarm system etc. that uses power so with this added disconnect if the battery gets low it will shut off the power and the solar panel will then work to charge the battery. Recommend.
