I have a need to keep kid’s fingers away from a thermostat, and I chose these, and I think it was a good choice. Most covers that I have seen are clear plastic, and these have a bit of a smoky look to them that I find more attractive. I think it also makes the thermostat/cover a little less noticeable, which I appreciate. It was easy to mount, and I note that the key slides in and out easily, and likewise locks and unlocks effectively, too. This is a good choice for thermostat covers.
