I know people may have conceptions about Tuya devices... But all my smart gardening supplies are running it and loving it! I really don't care if someone knows about my gardening habits. Now that's out of the way... This product delivers exactly what you need: a way to control your soaker hose or whatever that uses a regular US standard garden hose. The device connects to the app right away without having to even press any buttons and the first thing it did was a firmware update. The app is not the best but intuitive enough to use without instructions. Not sure why it's Fahrenheit on the device but Celsius on the hub. Either way, the functionality is dead on. I can't delete a schedule... But I can turn it off... I guess I'll just keep recycling the same schedule. The timer works great... And I'm sure it'll save me water with a timer as I won't have to forget to turn it off. The durability seems pretty standard for the price. The plastic doesn't feel weak.

Setting this wifi water controller was a little bit more in depth than adding on any other wifi controlled device, but only a little. I already use the app required, so that saved me a few steps. Once added to my network, I can easily control turning the water on or off at will to the front yard or garden hoses. The app allows for simple setup for multiple timers, and it works well. I'm pleased and impressed with just how well this works, and how seamlessly it integrated into my smart home.

Works well for the week I’ve used it. I only wish the threads were made of brass or other metal. The plastic threads will like strip very easily over time or crack. Battery life isn’t great since it only used 2 batteries, so be prepared to change them weekly

Easy to use and I absolutely recommend it. I would positively buy it again. The only reason this is a four instead of a five star rating is that the fittings are not brass. If the fittings were brass, definitely a five star product.

I elected to use the Tuya Smart App -- researching I noticed that the SmartLife app is actually a skin over the Tuya Smart App (not stated that way but some info said it uses the Tuya App in the background) -- the app pictured doesn't completely look like the App I am using so I guess that's the difference -- I've yet to find the place you can pick the days of the week in the scheduling -- there are a couple of toggles that I have to check on -- the setup got ahead of me reading the directions (which I did read through 1st but wanted to go step by step) -- there was a place to set up an Account but that disappeared and I haven't relocated it -- after installing the App I plugged the Gateway in and the steps to complete the install came up right away and before I knew it everything was paired and working -- my App looked like the 1st and 4th picture on the product page -- on the App, once you pick the Device and complete the scheduling the 2 ports show up -- there is a big circle to push to enter a 10 minute manual cycle which helped a lot while I was setting up my sprinklers or you can just depress the top button on the Valve Body to turn on and the bottom button to turn off -- once I get everything locked down this setup will be amazing -- I may be connected with Bluetooth rather than WiFi -- I think so because as I rounded the corner (side Bib) and got about 50' away from the valve body but closer to the Gateway the Manual selection timed out with an error -- I replaced a non wireless valve body that became erratic -- wireless is the way to go if for no other reason to use the setting that searches the weather forecast and sets an automatic rain delay -- I've tried one with a sensor you put in the ground but it is useless in hard clay -- I also had one with a rain sensor on the main body but it won't allow operation if it gets wet for any reason -- I'm guessing that to operate this off-property you need to sign up for a service or sign up for an paid service -- that is based on a quick reading of the help page in the App while I was trying to complete my setup before dark -- I looked for a 3 port version of this but did not find one -- now I have 2 sprinklers in series in the front yard -- I would like to run seperate hoses to each in the front yard -- I also use this to run a sprinkler in the back yard -- full disclosure I did this review from memory so I didn't reference the App or the directions or look up anything on the internet to write this so some details may be missing -- this is a great product -- weather sealed, simple to operate, durable, versatile, uses your local weather and uses a Gateway for more reliable and operation and longer battery lifeEdit: 3 weeks after setup -- I found the account sign-up page that disappeared on me initially and am connected with Wi-Fy for sure -- I think you get more programming information after sign-up -- there were at least two nights at 11 PM (was on auto rain delay at the morning schedule) that both ports turned on without any explaination -- when I checked the app, one or the other was showing on manual -- I may have "butt dialed" the sprinkler but I definitly didn't have the app open -- the app seems to only show the actual run times and doesn't report the missed schedule due to a rain delay -- I found no information on how it calculates the delay based on the forecast after te accountsign up the choice for the days of the week showed up in the schedule -- I am pleased with this timer and would buy again or recommend it to a friend
