This is very convenient for those who work a lot or go away on vacation!(8 might sound like a bit much, but the portion sizes are fairly small.)You also have the option to manually press the feed button to fill the bowl, but you have to unlock it first by holding the unlock button for a few seconds.The convenience, the clean look, and functionality, all come together to make an excellent value for your money!I highly recommend this cat feeder for anyone's little fur friend!

Cat feeder works well and dispenses food accurately at pre-programmed times. There is also a “Feed” button to dispense food immediately. A whole 3 lb bag of Meow Mix fits inside canister.Voice can be recorded to call cats at feeding time, and the recording is nice and loud and plays several times. Feeder can be plugged in (via USB cable) or run on D size batteries. The batteries are a great backup if the power goes out.Display lights up when buttons are pushed. At first we didn’t think buttons on display worked, but then realized the unlock button needs to be held for 2 seconds before any settings can be changed. This is a good feature so cats can’t change settings by bumping up against the feeder. Would recommend.

This is quite a large feeder but I also have 2 cats. I like that the bowl is more whisker friendly. It was a tad difficult to set up and there is a lot of button pushing when it comes to setting up the clock, food dispensing times, & portions. It has a total of 8 settings. The portions on this feeder are vastly different than my other feeder. So I had to make quite some adjustments to make sure both feeders dispensed the correct amount of food for each of my cats. This feeder also holds quite a lot. This is a product I would recommend.

Loveeee it! The functions are very easy to set up. Multiple feeding time options. Good quality. Keeps these 5 cats fed without us having to do it multiple times a day. Will be getting a second. The size has me refilling maybe once a week.

This feeder is a game changer for my cats! My one cat is overweight and I'm struggling to find a good way to help him lose weight. With this feeder, I am easily able to provide portion control for both my boys. This will help me keep them healthy. It's a really larger feeder, so it's great to know that my boys won't run out of food. I feel it is definately worth the money.The instructions are a bit confusing, but it is not all that challenging to set up.

I'm a little surprised by the quality of this automatic feeder.There's not really a lot to putting it together, and disassembling to wash then reassembling is easy enough.I had to read through the directions for setup a few times, and I need to get some backup batteries before I'm using it exclusively (3 D batteries).The bowl is wide enough to not irritate whiskers, and I love that the bowl liner is steel and super easy to remove for more frequent washing.

We have used many different feeders over the years. This style is by far the most reliable. This model is no different. We have three cats and now have 3 of these feeders. After our 2 bowl feeder went out while we were on vacation we decided to go back to best. These manual style feeders keep the best time and give tons of options as far as feeding schedules. And no app or wifi needed! I cannot recommend this feeder enough!

Ok so it takes a minute to set up when you first unbox it and I didn't understand the instructions all that clearly so let me help you out here (hopefully)! When you go to set it up, you have to HOLD the little lock/unlock key (bottom left) and the display will unlock so that you can modify other settings. I'd recommend very first thing before setting it up though to put cat food in the top and then unlock the display and click the FEED button (KEEP COUNT OF HOW MANY TIMES YOU HIT IT!) until you think the right amount of food is in the tray, you can then remove the tray and pour it into your normal feeding cup or a measuring cup, whatever is easiest to make sure it is the right amount of food. This way you can determine the correct "Portion" number. Now you can go ahead and set up the machine. Make sure you do your OWN check using the feed button because as noted on the product page the "Daily Intake" and "Recommended" portions can be very different depending on what food you are feeding. As an example, my cat food, I only have it set to portion 3 which would come out to 6 portions per day (because I feed twice) which when I measure it out in a measuring cup for my cats food is half a cup but on the chart on the product page half a cup would be "15 portions" so there is a pretty big difference between 6 and 15 so I just wanted to make sure you just check it with your own cat food. And once you have things set, you can go in there and verify after it dispenses the "meal" to see how much it put out. For me once I had it set it has been very consistent which is what is important.Anyway, once you have your "Portion" number in mind you should be ready to get it set up. If I remember right, you can hold SET at this point until the display starts blinking. So first you'll want to set the CURRENT time which is the big time at the top of the display. then you will set the meal which you can leave at "1" for now and then now you will set the feeding time for your cat's first meal of the day, whatever time you normally feed first thing in the morning. Now you'll set the portion number to the number of times you clicked the "FEED" button earlier. So now once this is set it means the device will feed your cat one time per day at whatever time you set at that portion amount. So now if you feed your cat multiple times per day (and or at varying amounts) now you can unlock the display again, get back into setup mode and change the Meal number to "2" this will be the second feeding, you can then set what time you want and what portion you want, and you can continue doing that until you have all of your meal times and portions set. Then sit back and relax because this will just feed your cat from that point forward without you having to lift another finger!I LOVE this device, its a decent size with a decent sized food container on top so it could easily handle a vacation and keep your cat well fed and in such a situation it also can take batteries so that even if the power goes out while you aren't home your furry friend will still be fed right on time every time! So this is 100000000% worth the cost and is SUCH a good value. It just takes maybe 10 minutes to get set up (with my fumbling through the instructions, you'll hopefully have a breeze at that if I explained things decently). But this thing just functions perfectly and gives my kitty his food right when he needs it every day without me having to be home or remember to take care of him on time which is such a luxury. Save yourself a bunch of time and let your cat be happy that his meals are always on time and get you one of these!
