This is a standard WR receptacle not marine grade with stainless steel components. Get one at any good hardware store for way less money. Wrote to Blue Sea Systems twice and never heard back.

First, let me acknowledge that I am not an expert in boat electrical systems. However, I have contacted Blue Sea Systems customer service about this issue and have received no help/support/response whatsoever. So, poor customer service is the first problem.The second problem is that this product (as far as I can tell) is not compatible with the type of electrical fittings that are generally found on a boat, e.g., heat shrink fittings. The instructions call for using a hook of bare wire (as I think is typical for home electrical systems). However, on a boat with multi-strand electrical cables, I understand this is unsafe and I think this is against ABYC standards. For a product advertised as "marine grade", I think this is unacceptable. As I said I am no expert, so if I am wrong about any of this, I hope Blue Sea Systems will contact me with an explanation and I will change this review.
