Works great! I love that the robot can be programmed with a map and set time to vacuum and mop the house when I want! I can also have it done while I’m not home via the app.

So far it’s only ok. The first two times I tried to map, it only did by my front door and then returned to the charging station. I then moved it away from everything else (which is annoying as it’s not exactly a focal item) and it mapped the whole house…..except by my front door 😅As for cleaning, it was running a LONG time and needed to charge before finishing. I’m not sure if there was extra mess to clean, or it’s just not as efficient as my first Roomba. I was also surprised that it took three times for the base to empty the vacuum. I’m not sure if that’s normal?

Love my roomba! I was so excited with the map saving feature and it’s super quiet for the most part. Doesn’t bother my dogs and vacuums my whole house in about 20 to 30 mins.

About six months after purchasing this product, I am a happy customer. I like iRobot's iPhone app a lot. And I like the robot's performance a lot. I have a 750-square-foot apartment. I have the robot set to clean daily at 2pm. It usually takes about an hour to vacuum the entire apartment. It handles transition strips from my wood floor to my carpet or the stone tiles in my bathroom and kitchen floors quite well. It even cleans the thick-pile bathmat I have on the floor of my bathroom. Usually about once during the hour, the unit returns to its home base and empties the dirt and dust it has vacuumed up. Then it returns to the job where it left off and finishes up, returning again to home base and emptying itself again. iRobot has excellent replacement bags for the vacuum collector and filters for the vacuum. You can order these from Amazon or from iRobot itself. I marked this item down one star because I did have a defect: The left wheel in my robot failed after about two months. I went through something of an ordeal with iRobot's customer service, running a number of tests at home. They shipped a replacement wheel with excellent instructions and a video for installing the new wheel. The product still did not work. I thought they would replace the entire unit at that point, but instead I was instructed to send the product to iRobot's repair center in Texas. It cost me $48 to ship the iRobot to Texas! They did not compensate me for the shipping, but they did test the product there and discovered that -- as I already knew -- the unit was defective. At that point, they shipped me a new unit which has worked well for the past four months. But it gnaws at me that the product was not immediately replaced and that I had to spend $48 to ship my defective unit back to iRobot.

Now that it's working properly, I really like the product. I didn't like the provided documentation and online customer service. The "Getting Started" instruction card was unclear and just plain wrong. It talked about a "drip tray" that slides under the "Home Base under the clip at the center of the drip tray". The Home Base is a one-piece unit, nothing is identified as a "drip tray", and there is no clip. A URL is provided for "further assistance" but if you go there, you get the following messages: "Oops! This page was collecting dust." and "Visit Customer Care Site". If you click on Visit Customer Care Site and search on "i3+" there is a link to "iRobot Owner’s Guide and Quick Start Cards" clicking on this link takes you to a site that offers NOTHING for an i3+ unit.Another recommendation on the Getting Started card is to download the iRobot Home app. A QR code is provided, and it worked. I installed the app on my Android phone but found that it conflicted with another app on my phone and was only moderately helpful. I clicked on the "Vacuum Everywhere" button and the Roomba immediately went to work. After about 40 minutes it returned to the Home Base and refused to operate. After some time, I figured out that the dust bin was full, but could not figure how to use the self-emptying feature. Within the app was a link for an owner manual but this manual is not for the i3+ specifically (maybe just the i3, not sure). Features that are on the i3+ are not covered in the manual. Specifically, the self-emptying feature and the wet mop feature are not covered. I went to the iRobot website and clicked on the chat button. The chat is a one-way-only video chat, I could see the representative, but he could not see me. He kept insisting that there was an empty bin button in the app but no such button was showing, and I could not show my phone to him in the one-way video chat. Eventually he just gave up and gave me a phone number to call. I figured out how to manually empty the dust bin and after replacing the bin in the i3+ the app empty bin button suddenly appeared (suspect the bin wasn't properly seated initially). The app conflict on my phone was between the iRobot Home app and a step counter app. Every time I started the iRobot app the step counter app would shut down. This was really annoying so I searched for an app I could load on my Windows PC (this would be my preferred way to control and monitor the i3+). No such app exists. Android and iOS are the only platforms supported. I have an Amazon Fire tablet (an android device) but Fire OS is a proprietary version of Android and iRobot claims Fire OS will not work. Some Googling turned up a way to make it work. I was able to load the iRobot Home app on my Fire tablet and uninstall it from my phone.I feel like all of these frustrations could easily have been avoided if good documentation were available, if a PC app were available, if the Android app easily installed on Fire OS, if the customer service rep was better schooled in potential problems, and if the video chat was a two-way video call. These are all issues that other companies seem to handle with ease.Eventually I got the issues resolved, despite the customer no-service support, and I must say that I am impressed with the unit and it's capabilities. It does a good job of vacuuming (I haven't tried the mop feature yet), mapping the house floor, returning to base to self-empty, returning to base to recharge, and restarting itself after a return-to-base event. The scheduling feature works well. Assuming I never need customer service again, and the unit delivers reasonable durability and reliability, I think I will be very happy with my purchase.Edit - Oct 23, 2024 - Been using for 3 months. VERY Disappointed. Since Oct 7, this unit has not completed a job. Every job, there have been 6, is listed as "Stuck". In every case the unit has just stopped at random places, but it's not stuck. One of the times it reported "Stuck", I found it in the middle of the floor with a dead battery. I have cleaned or replaced every part that can be cleaned or replaced. I have checked the "Product Health" and there are no issues. My previous experience with the Roomba support team was abysmal.DO NOT BUY A ROOMBA - Bad product, bad support. I am hopeful I can get some of my money back.

The vacuum works great! have 2 dogs so dog hair is a daily mess....the mop works great too. My only complaint is you can only have one map and I have to move the charger from room to room when I don't want the entire house cleaned. Still, worth it to me.

After only 2 runs, it began to show "error 26". Followed all "help" instructions, including several "reboots" and it still doesn't work.Although we have exchanged several emails with customer service, absolutely nothing has been resolved. They sent a "replacement" part, but the video for replacing instructions sent were for a different model. So, we are not even sure if the replacement part will work. It has been extremely frustrating. And Amazon has such a short widow of return on this product. I definitely would have returned it... if I could.Feel like I'm stuck with a very expensive problem.

This is terrible. Constant errors. You need to intentionally use the mopping functionality. Poor house mapping and coverage. It currently hasn't worked for a week...UPDATE: I spoke with customer service, which is a horrible experience where wait times literally increase while you're on hold. They identified a new piece was needed and said it was an easy install for my model and shipped it to me. Upon receiving it I could not for the life of me figure it out. When I finally gave up and called back, they apologized in there's two variants to my model and mine can't be repaired. They then shipped me a new device. The new device has battery issues and cannot vacuum my main floor like the prior one and repeatedly dies in the middle of the house not making it back to the dock. Once gain, I'm back in the endless customer service loop.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY ROOMBA iROBOT. RUN.
