We thought the 30amp RV plug would suffice for charging the Tesla, but an adapter was needed. This one works perfectly, a good value for the money. Super easy to install, fit perfectly for our model 3. A big relief to not have to wait hours for the charging with a regular 110 outlet.

This does not work, it trips the breaker and has high resistance, even set to a lower value of 17amps and it still draws more than it should. Complete waste of time.

They claim it's limited to 24amps by chip, but you can see it's not. At least it charges, but it would be far safer to auto-limit the pull.

Disclaimer: I don't have a TT-30 outlet to try this with at the moment.I got this for when we camp, as many tent sites with electric in our area also have TT-30 plugs for trailers and RVs. This thing is built like a tank - super molded plug ends, the RV-style molded handle to pull the plug out of the wall, and seemingly high-quality 10ga wire. The "Tesla charger end" fits well, if a bit snugly, into the mobile charger, and it has a retention "ramp" that ensures a tight fit. No danger of it falling out. Will update in the summer when I have a chance to use it with a TT-30 outlet.

It's better made that Wnat is purchased directly from Tesla. This is a must-have for those who state at state or national campgrounds that offer electric hookups.
