Perfect for invasive ground cover. "Turbo mode" with high gas setting needed for quick work.Very well made device. The burner itself, valves, and wand do the job. No leaks and starter button is robust and works well. The wrenches included are fit for purpose and work perfectly. They do not bend or distort.If you think teflon tape is needed you have messed up the assembly or don't understand how teflon should be used.. There are no pipe thread connections to seal. All connections are industry standard machined metal to metal or o-ring. O-rings work well but wiping with a light film of pure mineral oil or even water will reduce chance of damage.Burning weeds in a close area can block oxygen from reaching burner and it will go out. Not a problem - just back up and slow down your work a little. I had this problem between AC and wall of house. The extra foot of hose is appreciated but 15-20 feet would be better.Try to work when your neighbors are away - they may call the fire department. This burner will create smoke if an accumulation of dead vegetation is ignited. Keep a garden hose handy!After years of worrisome herbicides, hopefully this gadget will make weed control easier in the future.
