Just got the timer and it looks well made. The Battery compartment seals well and its brass all the way including the valve.We still have rain so I have not installed it yet.I am happy with the 5 year warranty and time will tell how it performs.

This is an excellent product with simple settings for watering plants without hassle. I also have a previous version of this product that I have been using for some time now. It uses two AAA batteries which are easy to replace. The battery indicator on the screen helps you decide when to replace them. My only hope is for them to offer it at more affordable price.

This sprinkler timer is exactly what we needed. Easy to setup and the brass connections are much better and higher quality than other plastic ones. 100% recommended

This timer is very high quality. The main mechanism is made entirely from brass all the way through, including the connector to the spigot. The timer is very easy to setup a program with minimal effort or learning curve. The display has very large easy to read numbers and letters. Requires 2 AA batteries which are not included. The battery compartment is nicely sealed with an O-ring. This unit is very similar to the plastic version that I also own. I have never had an issue with the plastic version so far, but I am always afraid the plastic spigot and connector will eventually break so decided to upgrade to this newer model brass unit.

This timer's connection is brass from the spigot to the hose, so it is durable. Also, using the timer is very intuitive. Have used it for about a week, it has operated flawlessly.

This RainPoint sprinkler timer is easy to install, has quality brass components and a tight seal where the batteries are housed. I’m a parent juggling many roles, and this has helped me water my lawn without jumping out of bed every morning. The timer conveniently comes on at 5:30 am and runs for the 15 minutes, this is exactly what I programmed it to do. Highly recommend.

Timer was not easy to understand for setup. Instructions could be better, had to call for assistance which they were helpful. What this timer needs is an end time per day like it has a start time, otherwise we would be watering in the middle of the night when it is not needed. Would not recommend because of these drawbacks.
