Turn rings and beading all day long with this set of ring tools. Designed to be used both right and left facing so both sides of the ring or bead can be turned with one tool. Sizes include 1/4-Inch radius, 3/8-Inch radius and 1/2-Inch radius high speed steel blades. Beautiful ash handles with brass ferrules measure 10-1/4-Inch long for super control. Overall length is 16-1/4-Inch. Includes a fitted aluminum case.

wooding turning captured rings is not easy to do. it can be done but not as easy as with using the tools. I made the baby rattle with three rings.

The tool edges are sharp but if used often will be difficult or worse, to sharpen. So far, pleased with this well-made, well-balanced turning tool for woodworkers to make coves or captive rings. Price was reasonable and sturdy metal case. I would recommend if needed for specific needs.

I Like the fact that they’re fairly easy to use, it didn’t take long before I had 3 captive rings on my goblet this was my first attempt at this and I must admit the rings turned out very well

This product definitely did not hold up to expectations. We have a wood turning shop and have been turning wooden toys for over 2 years. We needed a new set of ring cutters and decided on these. For the price that we paid (over $100 for the set), it should have at least held up better than being dull after creating only 2 solid maple wooden rings. There is no way to sharpen the blades either. While it may work with soft woods such as basswood, pine or aspen - this is not the right product for hardwoods such as oak, walnut or rock maple. If you are wanting to make rings out of hardwood, look for something that has a screwed on replaceable blade as these will be useless once dull.
