I thought the picture showed a tapered chisel, which was the only reason I got it. It is indeed a flat chisel that is slightly quaffed upwards. Still a good sharp tiny chisel. Not going to work good for scribing panel lines. Make sure you know what you are buying first with Tamiya, the stuff is too expensive to get the wrong thing
