Ribbed sleeves cause an annoying sound with the metal inner ring of the wight plate. Knurling is not too rough and not too smooth, collars do provide enough support . good for home gym and Overall for price good curl bar.

My son bought a weight bench and the bar that came with it bent.. so he ordered this one and it's great. All the weights he has used and the bar does not bend.. I can believe the replacement bar is way better than the bar that comes with it. Flat black color and it's no expensive, and great quality, we are buying another one.
