Comprehensively tested and designed to the latest UL standard for safety and reliability, the 5-inch smoke & CO alarm is powered by 120V AC wiring with 2 AA alkaline replaceable backup batteries (included) for continual detection even during outages. Batteries should be replaced every 6 months or when the alarm sounds a low battery chirp. In addition, it’s self-testing and easy to install with the included twist-and-click mounting bracket. I ordered this item Nov 24, 2024 and had to take it down in the middle of the night Feb 25, 2025. Did not last long at all. Very disappointed.

The battery life is long, good value for the money and the sound level is high with voice notifications for fire or CO2. It is of good quality and so far it is accurate. It was not that easy to install. The instructions and diagram were not very clear or comprehensive.

It was easy to replace this alarm in the same place as our old alarm. Have not had the alarm go off Thankfully! Batteries came with the product as a backup during power failure.

I used this to replace an older and out-of-date version of the Kidde smoke and carbon monoxide detector. Along with the cable adapter, this installed quick and easy. Couldn't ask for an easier replacement.

Good item how ever the wire for install wasn't mentioned in add i ordered quick connect but didn't need it returned quick connect and received refund thanks

Replacement for defective unit. Only had to change the hook up pig tails. My older unit had different style.
